Normal idle speed with a warmed up engine is 700 RPM on the 1992 Honda Accords. The Fast Idle Valve may not be kicking out, or a mechanic may have raised the RPM to hide some other condition. Either way you should have this fixed by an honest Honda mechanic before the excessive RPM causes other really expensive problems (like ruining your transmission)! If you're going to keep this vehicle much longer, I'd recommend getting real Honda Service Manual set: #61SM404 (service manual) and #61SM404EL (electrical diagrams / troubleshooting). Bought mine from Helms ( for $98 way back when. Good luck.

Possibly could you spark plug wires or distributor faulting you will need a mechanic or a manual to adjust the distributor or just get new spark plug wires

Car will not accelerate after recent tuneup!

You must have disconnected something on the throttle linkages when you changed the gasket. Also look for wires off sensors.

Engine mounts control the engine movement but it may be because the idle rpm is too low. Most of these cars idle at 950 -1000 rpms.

Hyundai Sante Fe 2003 with automatic transmission and 3.6L engine shutters and shakes when slowly accelerating to about 60 kmph. If you take your foot off the gas or accelerate the shaking stops...

Tune up spark plugs, wires, check fuel filter, etc... Check distributor, change transmission fluid and coolant. If you need a new distributor I would try looking for a used one online.

Car is shaking, motor is very hot , i changed the oil and the shaking stop for 2 days now is back again.

Something is wrong here ?????????????????????????????????????
If you changed the oil Why did the shacking stop Oil has nothing to do with shaking But a missing plug or spark or lead would cause it but the oil must have been on the inside of plug ????????? But OK Take off each plug lead off the spark plug 1 at a time for 2 seconds and then refitit and let me no if 1 of them dosent make any differance to the engine shaking,AND also how hot dose the engine get when running if very hot,, Then i want you to check the radiator and coolant Radiator hot top and bottom ??if only bottom then your thermostat is no good If ok then is coolant or oil going down fast,if yes then you can have a head gasket problem causing both problems, Let me know
how things go. are you on SKYPE Ron

94 grand am Head Gasket?

Check ur spark plugs for wetness, if u have water in ur cylinders, you have a gasket problem. 94-95 grand am had a problem with intake gaskets, but my grand am also had a manufacture error on the head gasket too. The dragged the heads over it putting the heads back on and smashed the rings..

Sounds like you've got a leaking head gasket. Check your coolant and see if there's any black gunk in it, if there is you for sure have a leaking head gasket.
