All door mirrors are designed to fall off (if you hit a pedestrian)so they are just push fit(no screws).

Where to add side mirrors on a 58 ford Fairlane

I've had the same quandary with my 59 Ford Custom 300 and the more of them I've looked at, the more I've noticed it seems to be personal preference. Mine are currently positioned just to the side of dead center on the top and directly across from the hood cowl side to side. I've seen some positioned on the fender just ahead of the doors or even on the doors to about a third of the way down the fender. I'm getting ready to move mine rearward, I like the look. It's all your vision, my friend. Good luck!

Interior rear view mirror fell off my 98 BMW 540i

There is a small set screw that holds the mirror to the small metal button. Most vehicles use a small Phillips screw but some use a Hex Key Wrench (Allen Wrench) type screw. Slide the mirror off the button. Make sure not to remove the glue before you put the button back on. Trace around the glue with a grease pencil on the outside of the windshield before you remove it. So you know exactly where to replace the button. You can buy a Rear View Mirror Adhesive Kit for around five dollars.

My rear view mirror fell off, cant get the metal disc out of the bracket. Seems to have a push down bracket in front of it. I cant see any screws. I have a gmc sonoma. What do u think?

my friend had the same problem with his 96 blazer. it is a pain to get out sometimes but it can be done. it is spring loaded so its in here tightly. you should be able to get a small flat head screwdriver into the slot opening. wedge it in there and slightly pry and it will eventually come loose

Is there a special glue for the replacement of a rear view mirror or is there a special mount to get the mirror to on the window. We have tried twice with the adhesives and it fails because of the weight...

There is usually a allen head screw that holds the mirroe onto its mounting device, may have a snap on cover over it for cosmetic purposes. It can be found right were the metal peice attaches to the window on the side facing out. You must first stick the metal mounting bracket to the window, allow to dry for the recommended time the adhesive calls for then reinstall the mirror after it has has sufficient time to dry, tighten the screw, and replace any cosmetic covers after the mirror is rreinstalled. Good Luck!

Re-assembly of 99 Blazer mirror to windshield

This is a relatively easy task, the bulk of the work has been for you. The rear view mirror assembly simply slides onto that metal block that was glued to your windshield. Your mirror mount (the part that slides onto the metal bracket) may be cut differently or shaped different from the rest of that part. you simply need to line that up with the metal mount on your windshield. slide the mirror on and tighten down the set screw if you have one. I've listed the steps below

1. find the base mount for your mirror (this is the bottom of the mirror that sits on the windshield)

2. look for a cut out or flat part of the mirror base.

3. line the flat part of the mirror base with the metal mount bracket on the windshield.

4. slide the mirror onto the metal bracket (this may require you to wiggle while you slide the mirror onto the metal bracket).

5. tighten the set screw on the mirror base ( this is important because your mirror will vibrate off the bracket if you don't.

Note some mirrors slide from the bottom of metal mount bracket and some slide from the top. it sort of depends on the manufacturer and/or the way the bracket was installed.

Hope this helps
