I have toyota hilux 2.5d4d 2kd engine it smokes allot blue smoke an engine shakes allot what can be problem

if there is a lot of blue smoke its burning engine oil and the shaking is because the plugs are not firing correctly because they are fouled by the oil. also could be plug wires worn out, distributor cap and rotor if it has one as you don`t say what year this is. the burning oil could be rings, valve seals/guides, PCV system plugged.

What could blue tailpipe smoke be from?

Your issue could be a few things. Simplest first would be the PVC valve. Other issue would be valve seals, valve guides or piton rings. The blue smoke is from your vehicle burning oil

Blue smoke in my 96 honda prelude

Blue smoke is usually an indication of oil burning. If you see blue smoke and hear a loud sound it could be a few things. The biggest being you have a hole in your block. You could also have a leak in your exhaust and be burning oil. A quick trip to a local autoparts store should answer this question. Most employees are willing to lend an ear and have experience with cars.
I recomend you dont take the car on anything other than short trips untill your problem is found and solved.

Need help 83 TRANSAM puffing blue smoke

Blue smoke means Oil is burning. You could have a bad seal on one ore more of the valves, bad rings or burnt valve. Usually if it smike right after you start it and then dies down that pints to a bad valve seal, then tend to warm up asnd start sealing better and oil also gets into the cylinders when they set overnight and thus the blue smoke when you start it. very common on older engines and your being an 83 it could be any one of the above casues. Try some of the motor treatments for oil using engines at the parts store. these help the seals be more flexible and help seal better. Other wise you may need a rebuild to get it to stop.

My 1984 corvette crossfire v8 smokes wnen stated a puf of white smoke sometimes just a little sometimes a lot but runs great

it could be a lite blue colour that looks white,if so then the car is burning a little oil,the valve seals are probably dried out and allowing small amounts of oil to be drawn into the combustion chamber past the seal and valve guides when the car sits and when started up the oil gets burned in the combustion chamber.if its white smoke then it could be a small head gasket coolant leak.

My Ford Transit 2 ton van blows blue smoke when I accelerate after long idling (on red light or so

if your van has plenty of miles on it this is quite normal on acceleration most diesels have this problem.if the smoke is excessive and doesnt clear then your burning oil and the oil rings on the pistons have failed check to see if your oil level is right or it may have been over filled this can cause the motor to burn oil .good luck mike.

Smoke blowing out of muffler and car shakes

The color of the smoke means a lot here.
Black Smoke is from car running too rich.
Blue smoke is burning oil.
White smoke is generally steam in gas engines or can be unburned fuel in a diesel.

From your description this is often from a blown head gasket with water getting in the cylinder so the one cylinder doesnt fire properly which causes the shake. BUT it could also be a bad plug or wire causing the shake and the excess fuel causing the smoke.
If this car were in my shop the first thing I would do is pull the plugs and check their condition. This will tell me the exact nature of the problem. If I was still in doubt I would do a compression check on all cylinders with close attention on any whose plugs looked different.
You can bet this is a bad problem and the vehicle should not be driven..

Blue Smoke and Oil Level droping

normally blue smoke is burning oil and if this is the case you may have a valve stem oil seal which is leaking these prevent oil getting into the top of the bore via the valves. if it does you grt the oil burning on start up givivg blue smoke and to fix these you may have to remove the cylinder hesd i work on lorries and classic cars and some you can get away with leaving the head on but have never worked on a bmw
