My dash lights dim out and when i high beam my cd player shut off and flash quickly then turn on. one day i was airing my tires at gas station and my dash light just dim out next thing is my car just died...

well,,, this could be a problem with your cars grounding.... so, here is some things to check out..

Is your battery cable connections clean?

Check the negitive cable to see that thair is a good connection to the engine (and)the body of your car..

next have you had your battery tested ? is it good?

next have you had the charginging system tested?

then look for bad or rusty or broken black wire connections under the dash and near the driver side kick pannels...
Hope this helps!

Installing Dash light bulbs in a 1993 S-10 Blazer

To replace the blubs you have to take out the insterment cluster. This is done by romoving the light switch trim plate and disconnect the wirering harness. The remove the A/C heater control panel. Remove the plastic trim from around the insterment cluster. The unbolt and remove the insterment cluster and uplug the wires and the speedometer cable. This speedometer cables can be a pain in the **** but depress the spring clip and pull. The bulbs are accessed from the back of the cluster.
Bulbs in this cluster don't burn out very often and if none of the bulbs don't work it probley isn't the bulbs. In this cause make sure the dimmer switch is turned up if it is play with the switch see if the dash light flicker.
Oh also in the mauals they always tell you to disconnect battery when pulling electrial apart.

Radio works but no display on it

Do all of your dash lights work? Does it keep time and or radio stations in the memory? sometimes vehicles have a fuse that runs only that part of the radio if it is stock. The dimmer control could also be all the way down, if you dome light don't light bright, then that could be your problem, turn it the other way, it should be on the left side of the dash near the headlight control. hope this helps.

Interior lights do not work.

Belive it or not the bulbs could all be bad i just had this problem come into my shop. otherwise if you are trying to turn all the interior lights on with the insterment pannel dimmer switch the switch can just be burnt out on the aux side wich is the interior panels other wise the easiest to check would be a fuse in the fuse box

Radio Installation for a 96 Oldsmobile Achieva

I just replaced my radio on my 97 olds so im thinking it should be the same. You have to completely remove the lower dash. this involves popping many of those lock things but be careful cause they break easy. Also you will need to remove multiple screws from around the lower dash, then it will just drop down and you can remove the radio.
