Try draining the system and removing the orifice tube and cleaning itIt is located in the liquid line going into the firewall, remove the quick connector nut,and it is in the swelled area of the line, use needle nose pliers to remove, and install the orifice tube. Please rate if this is helpful.

Keep it simple, look for voltage, check fuses and relays FIRST. Then dig deeper by checking orfice tube. add water with hose to condensor to see if it cools.

Try looking for a fuse that is blown.

When I looked up the air conditioning system, I found an article about the a/c cycling switch removal and replacement:

Air Conditioning Cycling Switch Removal & Installation To Remove:

  1. On vehicles with gasoline engines, remove the battery.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C cycling switch.
  3. Remove the A/C cycling switch.
To Install:
  1. Install the A/C cycling switch on the accumulator with a new o-ring.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C cycling switch.
  3. If removed, install the battery.

I am not sure if this will solve your problem, but I hope it points you in the right direction.

How to recharge ac

There are many ways to recharge an ac system but to do it correctly is a bit more in-depth. You can read the ac tag under the hood of your vehicle and purchase a can of coolant then hook it up to the low pressure side as shown on the can. Start the engine and follow their instructions. If you have a leak you should add UV dye to the system to locate the leak then repair as needed. To recharge system I recommend purging the system to a proper catchment contaner, recycle the refrigerant as required. Put an ac manifold on the high and low ports of the ac system (they are sized to only fit in the proper location) then attach a moisture removing vacuum pump create a vacuum in the system of 20lbs at sea level or more. Close the high and low pressure valves and disconnect the vacuum pump connect the refrigerant to the vacuum line, start the vehicle, turn on the ac (fan on low) add the amount of refrigerant that your vehicle tag requires.

Where is the low side ac port to recharge on a 1999 ford exp.

To locate the low side line, follow the lines from the compressor. Typically, your low side line will be located on the left (as you face the front of the truck). It will have a small cap on it (similar to a valve stem cap on your tires). You may need to remove the air cleaner assembly for better access if the valve is in the back but in most cases, it's located nearer the front of the engine compartment, about 1' back from the radiator.

It is on or near the reciever dryer or shiny looking thing at the right rear of the engine compartment. You need gauges to correctly add refigerant as you can overcharge it.

Cannot find the lower freon input on 1999 expedition

They are coded blue and red. Low side, and High side. It's a plastic cap.

A word of WARNING! If you are attempting to recharge your AC, and do not know what you are doing, SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH can result! Connecting a recharging container to the RED HIGH SIDE can result in rupture/explosion of the cylinder.

1999 FORD TAURUS EVAP SERVICE PORT

The AC charge port is the on low pressure AC line (large line from compressor) near the firewall. Take care not to overcharge, there are other causes of no cooling like a stuck AC compressor cycling switch or a air temp control blend door motor malfunction, what is the issue u have? does the AC compressor run?
