The coil itself could be bad.
Try determining if there is a miss on a cylinder or cylinders.

This code refers to a misfire on cyl#5. Possible spark plug or ignition coil ( most common ). Could also be an injector or wiring to any of the above

I have a 2003 Santa Fe with 3.5 6cyl engine that is ideling rought & lots of missing off a stop. had codes PO001,03,05. Had wires & plugs replaced 2 weeks ago & still running rough. Now...

Do you mean P0301, P0302, etc? Misfire codes? You have 6 plugs, 3 coil packs, and 3 wires. cyl 2,4,6 are the ones in front, with the coil packs. It's possible they're bad.

2005 santa fe with a 3.5L. code P0304,any suggestions?

The first thing I would do is switch the 4-1 coil with the 2-5 coil, clear the code and drive it until the Check Engine light comes back on. If the code still says P0304, the coil is not the problem. If it says P0302 or P0305 then replace the coil that was originally in the 4-1 position.

If the coil is ruled out by the the above, do a tune-up. (spark plug and wire replacement)

If the same code returns after this, your most likely cause is athe #4 fuel injector.

2003 4cyl Santa Fe has intermitent jerking that sometimes results in stalling. Increasing in frequency. Recently had tune up, new belts and fuel line clean out. This jerking was happening before tune up...

Scan for codes. Discribe when it jerks! Under a load, going up hill, pulling away from a stop? Does it shift okey? Possibilities--Bad ignition coils, Bad Throttle Position Sensor, Bad EGR Valve,Dirty Throttle Body ETC.
