The starter is probably attached to the engine near the flywheel.
Follow the positive lead of the battery down to the starter.

Park brake light came on while driving

Park brake switch may be on or the light may have come on because of low brake fluid in the master cylinder. There is a sensor in the reservoir and it turns on the same light as the park brake.

How to fix a disk brak problem i have one rear brak strongre nthan ather

Then you have a fluid flow issue or lack of
brake maintenance issue

You don't meantion the vehicle or any details of
any type of parts removal or checking to see what
condition the brakes are in

The brakes have to come apart once a year to remove rust,
inspect things & lube & there is no reason, if you do that, to
ever have a problem

You could have a restricted rubber hose if they are 10 years
old & not changed, rusted parking brake cables

We need something to go on to suggest something

I will tell you that I have never had an issue in 49 years
of doing brakes & I believe neglect is 95% of all braking problems

wheel cylinder piston, in rear on drum brakes,
or same on rear disc caliper

4/ ABS System Issues
5/ Worn Out or Broken brake parts
6/ The most common cause of any Brake
Problem is -- Neglect-drive it & forget everything
until you have a problem

2006 Buick Lucerne brake engage button

Your supposed to use your parking brake up or down

If you don't you will not get the transaxle out of gear or break
the internal parking pawl

Been that way for 50 years on all vehicles with an automatic

The trans was not designed to hold the weight of the car with
a small piece of metal on the parking pawl, you brakes are for that

Hello, looking to find out how many hanbrake cables are on a chrysler voyager 1998? is is 1 or 2? Many thanks

Should be three cables. One intermediate that runs from the e-brake handle to the rear of the van and two others that come off the load equalizer and go to each rear wheel.

Excessive rear-brake wear

What type of vehicle?

Parking Brake Cables rusted and not releasing

On rear discs, the same & or rusted caliper internal
parking ratchet mechanism

On drums the obvious, neglect and seized adjusters, etc,
corroded wheel cylinders ( People do not flush brakes every two years)

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but all four brakes
on all vehicles, have to come apart once a year or more often,
and you make love to them. Remove all rust ,inspect, lube, adjust, etc

No one should EVER have a brake problem in their entire life
ALL brake issues are NEGLECT and LACK OF KNOWLEDGE

Is it true that a 2006 ford fusion does not require a transmission servicing?

If you want to burn it up, in about three years
All transmissions require fluid changes, not more than 30,000 miles or three years.
You watch too many commercials
Change the Power Steering Fluid, every three years also
Brake fluid every two years.
Unlikely you'll get 100,000 out of a transaxle even with the fluid changes. Just so I told you so,in the future
I used to own a trans shop. 90% of that work was neglect and some MFG Failures

brake-sahift interlock solenoid not working. check fuse first. when key is on and brake is pressed, it either activates or deactivates the solenoid so you can shift out of park. safety thing.
chrck owner manual for a mechanical overide process. maybe there is one.
