It is most likely a bad clutch pack, you may need a transmission overhaul to repair the problem, sorry.

Hello. Most likely your transmissions belts need to be tightened. drive it to any AAMCO transmission shop or other transmission shop for this adjustment. J.

How big a job is 'tightening the transmission belts'? Do you have to drop the transmission? I do most repairs myself but never on a transmission. How long would this take?

I'm mixed up I guess. I asked how big a job is it to tighten transmission belts. Must the transmission be dropped. How long to do this? I do almost all repair work on my cars, but never on a transmission.

I just called AAMCO and they said there are no belts in my transmission. JUST 'BANDS' THAT ARE NON-ADJUSTABLE........

How can i fix this problem im having with my crown victoria 2005 my OD Overdrive blinking

The OD light is blinking because the transmission control module has detected a fault in the transmission operation, most common is slipping as measured by the input and output turbine shaft speed sensors. You may feel no slipping but the sensors are detecting it or one of the sensors is giving a fault signal.

Where is the pcv valve located on a 1991 ford crown victoria?

its located at the back of the engine near the firewall. it has a large hose connected to it(3/8") if I remember right. it is attached to top of the PCV valve. pull the hose off then you can pull the valve out of the rubber grommet that holds it into the engine.

I had a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria with An H9 rear axle code. I want to know what rear axle code is comparable to the H9 for a Mercury Grand Marquis?

reading forums on this reveals that the h9 is a 3.55 limited slip diff mainly used in f150 fords. However all that is immaterial as what you are looking for is a diff centre that is 3.55 ratio that will fit in your housing . The same housing will use the both LSD and normal diffs as the LSD was an option offered for off road vehicles or vehicles operating in bad road conditions
