No codes ? it happens, guess we'll go the old fashion way then. you are going to have to test every sensor like throttle position, idle mixture, mass air flow etc. and replace the ones that are defective. does it smell like gas coming from the exhaust ? this could be the choke being stuck, also controlled by computer that controls everything from the info it gets from the sensors.

Why does it continue to spit and sputter going uphill?

Spit and sputter can happen because of not enough fuel or air. last thing to check for fuel is the fuel pressure regulator. On the air side would be the the air filter(filthy) or catalytic converters(clogged). on the mechanical side, Could be bad rings, burnt valves. Compression test would find this.

My 2000 Silverado is running bad it started loosing power backfiring so I replaced roster button cap plugs wires didn't back fire but still run bad so I replaced gas filter still run bad

Have it tested with a scan tool ,check engine sensor data parameters ! Possible dirty or bad mass air flow sensor ,O2sensor ,Coolant temp sensor, map sensor etc... Check for vacuum leaks , Plugged fuel injectors , dirty throttle plate , also check fuel pressure . Is your check engine light lit ?

I have replaced egr valve and mass flow air sensor and egr sylinoid and have replaced catylatic converters. Truck still sputters. I have put new plugs, wires, and distributer cap and button. Truck fells...

I recommend you test your fuel pressure to see if it fluctuates any.If it were to be any of the other sensors you would have a check engine light that would come on.The only system that doesn't have any sensors would be your fuel system unless it has a fuel pressure sensor and you would have a light for that also.I would take a look at your fuel pump and filter. Also have your injectors balance tested this will tell you if you have any bad injectors or pressure regulator.

98 chevy silverado exceleration is ok up to about 100 km\hr then if you try to pass then it just stays there u can put the peddle to the will not go over 3.5 on tach replaced cap,rotorbutton,wires...

have an exhaust back pressure test performed, sounds like a possible restricted catalytic converter. you should also perform a fuel pressure test - these vortec engines are very sensitive to drops in fuel pressure. a cheap thing to try would be a fuel filter, could be restricted. good luck!

1992 chevrolet s10 blazer 4.3L engine, 4WD, Vortec, stalls under load with no check engine light. Idles perfect. Won't restart easily. Have changed out ignition control module, coil, coil wire, distributor...

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail on top of the engine it should read a minimum of 30 psi if any lower replace the fuel pump, also if you smell a gas odor and the fuel pressure regulator looks wet with gas replace the pressure regulator before the fuel pump. This sounds like a fuel delivery issue.
