Dry out the moisture and possibly spray the closed distributor cap and wires with silicon to protect from moisture. Do this only if the cap is not cracked and is properly mounted on to the distributor.

Check for spark at the spark plug. No spark? Remove distributor cap and spin the engine over. If the rotor button does not turn, replace timing belt.

I need help lost spark on a 1999 QX4

Ignition coil would be my first guess, or maybe the module in the distributor. Some auto parts stores have testers for the module. The coil can be tested with an ohm meter, but I've had a few instances where they test ok but are faulty. A whole rebuilt distributor might not be too expensive.

2000 infiniti QX4 3.3L (engine has a distributer) stalls out especially when revved from idle. Also won't start or very difficult to start, haven't been able to get it to start for a couple days...

pull one ignition cable out of cap just enough to see the tip of connector and crank it, a spark should jump from cap to tip of wire. no spark means you need the whole distributor replaced. buy it from nissan or infiniti dealer, it comes with cap rotor installed and 12 mo 12k mile warranty, no matter who installs it. dont waste time with aftermarket rebuilt distributor, those are not reliable. https://parts.infinitiusa.com/
