Check the fuel system. The fuel pump the fuel filter and the fuel pressure. If the fuel pump is worn out it has to be replaced the fuel filter is clogged it has to be cleaned and checked. If still same problem then filter has to be replaced. Also get the fuel pressure checked. If the fuel pressure is low then car will not get exact required fuel to run and this can be the issue. At any local car garages they check out the fuel pressure for the car. The other possibility is the alternator of the car.Check out cars alternator. The car runs and starts properly with the charged battery. But when the car runs and when you turn on the radio and lights in car the charge of the battery gets used. But the alternator in the car keeps the battery charge while its running. If the alternator is not working properly or its got loose from its connection to battery then car will not remain charged while running and it will stop due to no or low charge to battery. Also as you mentioned that ignition control module is replaced. But check out for the voltage at ignition module is it receiving exact 12 volt at the module. If not then this is a short in the wires of the car. Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

My 2002 hyundai accent hesitates when i accelerate

Numerous possible causes. First thing I suggest you check/inspect is the Throttle Position Sensor. This sensor is located on the throttle body and has a three-pin connector connected to it. You'll want to find out if the sensor (it's a potentiometer, a rheostat) has any poor contact points inside. This can be done by using an analog ohm meter. If you don't know how to do this, ask someone who does to show you. What you'll be doing is checking to see if the 'resistance' in the potentiometer changes erratically as you rotate the throttle opening, indicating there are bad spots in the pot. If this is the case, the pot is sending these signals to the engine computer, and the computer (ECU) uses this voltage/resistance signal to compute the engine load expected by the driver's input on the accelerator pedal.

I have about 103,000 mi. on my 2002 Hyundai Accent and wanted to change the manuel transmission/differential gear oil. Manuel asks for 75w/90, GL-4 and can only find that weight with GL-5, that isn't...

1st GL5 has replaced the GL4, so u are stuck there, the advantages of GL5 are worth the money, as far as the coolant goes get a back flush kit and flush the block that way, Prestone makes then and they are very easy to use, they help get sludge out of the system much better than just draining.

The check engine light only illuminates when the engine surges under acceleration.

Sounds like a sensor Is faulty. Possibly It got banged by something or someone during its last repair. When accelerating probubly jiggling the sensor around causing it to light up.
