A/C works great when first turned on. After a few

A/C works great when first turned on. After a few minutes shuts off and will not cycle back on. I have by-passed the low cutout and High pressure cutout switches and still does not come back on. After the truck sits awhile, turn it on and the ac will work again.

Check the ac clutch relay, when it goes off,tap on the relay, see if it comes back on,you can use a test light,it is safe to use,and do this, turn the ac on,and use the test light, ground the test light lead to a good known ground, and pull the relay up,but not out,it needs to still make contact in it`s socket, touch one terminal at a time, the test light will light up,but this is not what we are looking for, touch all the terminals of the relay one at a time and when you touch the ground, the ac compressor will kick on,if it does, then the clutch coil on the ac compressor is bad,if it does not kick on,replace the relay,I hope this was helpful, and if so,please rate, thank you.

Sounds like a restriction in the orifice tube, allowing the coolant to circulate not as much as it should, or...

It could be just low refrigerant charge. Check with a gauge on the low side that the pressure is 25 to 45 psi when the compressor and car's a/c is running.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. Maybe a bad fuel pump, or clogged filter. If it is carbureted, a stuck float valve or clogged float valve might be the problem.

Telling us year, make and model would allow us to help you more.

Deceleration when driving

What kind of truck and what type of fuel gas or desiel? It almost sounds as if the computer is causing a fatal error and going into an shut down cycle. Some newer vehicles are setup to protect themselves when this happens. Helps prevent major damage to the engine. Is it over heating, if not maybe check that the temp gauge is working correctly. By shutting it off and then restarting you are in fact reseting the computer.

A/C not working properly

There is what is called a low pressure switch in the system that will not allow the system to run unless there is a complete charge in the system, what is happening is that the system is "Short cycling" due to low pressure, you can purchase a re charge kit at the local Autozone or Pepboys and that will fix the problem.

Got a 99 jeep grand cherokee larado. when you first get in and take off the automatic does great until you go thru a few shift cycles then it shifts hard into 3rd. you can stop and turn off the jeep and...

Dirty transmission filter.
Most "service" places only pump out the fluid through the dipstick tube and tell you that the filter will be OK. That way they don't get an ATF bath when they pull the pan.
I'm guessing that the crud in your tranny is pluging the filter after a few miles, when you shut it off, the fluid runs back down, washing the dirt and metal pieces back into the pan.
