You need to scan for engine trouble codes. Most parts stores will do this for free, and tell you what they mean and make recommendations on what to do. The 'limp mode' kicks in to prevent damage to the vehicle when the computer gets data that something is wrong.. When you shut it off, it's temporarily reset, but then the cars computer is signaling there is still a problem, and it goes back into limp mode. pull codes from on board diagnostics turn key on not running press and hold hot button on temp and off at same time till dash lights up write down codes respond with all computer codes i will help you determine prodlem and try to fix

P2110-Throttle Actuator Control System
Means the motor that opens the throttle plate, on a drive by wire system. Your gas pedal is hooked to nothing,just three more sensors down there,like the Toyota Problems
You should have other codes also
Do not go to Ford,unless you don't want it fixed,
and want to spend a lot.
They will use that code, to install a $600 plus labor ,throttlebody you don't need. It's motor could fail and give you the 2110 code
If you get a COP Ignition Coil,that is really bad,it will spike the PCM,the spike will come back on the TPS Sensor, and the PCM can not adjust fuel,based on the TPS Voltage being off,so it goes into failsafe and you get to drive 6 mph
Problem--bad coil or two
Not many people know this. It is beyond a dealer and the factory service manuals
You go to the auto parts store and buy one coil for $59.00 and install in the cylinder with a PO-301 thru PO-306 code first
The last number is the cyl#
For really bad spiking issues, you disregard the 300 codes and walk the new coil ,until you find the bad one.
You should borrow a code reader from a family member,someone has to own one,with the vehicles we all drive today.
