Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix
You can put it back together, but in my experience, replacing the window regulator is better than trying to use the old parts, which may be damaged to the point of allowing the glass to fall.
Even a used window regulator from a salvage yard would work better than one that has failed before.
I had a body shop do it, you can probably do it yourself with practice. But, if you want it done reliably, have the body shop do it.
Probably an hour or two of labor.
