How do I fix this starting problem?

first buy a new sparkplugs replace the old and start the engine.
second check ignition coil if it produces spark , you can buy a cheap ignition coil tester at ebay.
third check your fuel injectors maybe they are dirty. fast solution buy a fuel injector cleaner that is added to the fuel tank.
hope this can solve your problem

Won't turn over

The battery may have the volts but the cranking Amps may be low in the battery(light will dim real low when trying to start). If the battery cranking Amps are good then the alternator is charging the battery.
If that is all good then the starter motor may need replacing

@004 Pilot the check engine light came on after my daughter bought gas. Autozone code was p1456. Car seems to be running fine.

2004 Honda Pilot engine light came on this morning. Last bought gas 5 days ago. Auto Zone checked and found code P1456, emission control system leak detected (fuel tank system)
Four options;
1) Loose fuel cap
2) Vapor canister saturated
3) Failed vent solanoid
4) Failed purge solenoid

Thanks.

Its probably your computer. Had the same thing happen to me about ten years back. About 500 dollars. better off finding one on ebay or at a junk yard.

Check engine light came on. Code P1456.

Did you change the gas cap with a Honda gas cap? Tighten it at least three clicks?
Also, Honda recommends that you never top off the tank when getting gas (only go to the click-off of the pump; otherwise you can get back flow into the system that will cause the code).
Tightening or replacing the cap will not immediately cause the light to go off; it can take up to three days of driving for the light to reset.
To check if your readiness codes (emission system) are set, turn the ignition to ON (II), without starting the engine. The Malfunction Indicator Lamp will come on for 20 seconds. If it then goes off, the readiness codes are set. If it blinks 5 times, the readiness codes are not set.
You can, of course, try resetting your engine light to see if it will come back on (which it probably will). I believe the procedure is:
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the Select/Reset knob (odometer) in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Hold the knob for approximately ten seconds until the indicator resets.

Hope this helps you.

2002 odyssey injectors flooding

The owner's manual offers these tips on starting in cold weather. First, do not touch the gas pedal and crank the engine for no longer than 15 seconds. If no start, hold the gas pedal halfway down and crank for no longer than 15 seconds. If no start, hold gas pedal all the way down and crank for 15 seconds. If no start, hold gas pedal halfway down and crank for 15 seconds. During any one of the start attempts with the gas pedal part/all the way down, if the engine should start, slowly release the pedal so the engine will not race. Remember that fuel does not atomize as easily in cold weather and can be a problem.
