Question about 1998 Chrysler Sebring

2002 Sebring coupe blower only works on 2 highest settings

On my 2002 Sebring coupe the blower only works on the two highest settings, regardless of whether I have it set to heat, AC or vent, but the AC compressor will only kick in on the two lower speed fan settings. Any ideas?

The solution seems to be correct, however, the blower motor resistor was located in the duct and has a different appearance from the images provided by you. THe resistor is accessed by removing the glove compartment and the panel behing the glove compartment.

Its the problem of resistor that has to be checked and replaced. The blower motor resistor is gone bad.
the part only costs $45.00 and can be replaced easily by removing only 2 screws and unplugging the wire connection then plugging in the new one and screwing it back into place. resistor that is located beside the blower motor.

This is what you should be looking for:

To get to this, I reccomend moving your passenger seat all the way back (as well as tilted all the way back).. under my glove-box there was a foam'ish covering being pretty much held on by one bolt, remove it.

Now you should have access to your blower motor resistor and a whole bunch of other, colorful wires something like this:

Just remove the two bolts holding in the resistor, it should slide right out. 2nd bolt was as it's conveniently hidden 'on the other side' of the resistor.. out of reach from anyone with big arms/shoudlers/hands.. Anyway, replace the old with the new (in the same slot of course):

<-new / old->
put bolts back on, cover back on, and finish.
If the resistor replacing does not help. Then replace whole blower motor. If replacing whole blower motor does not helps then fan motor also has to be checked. If fan motor checked ok the fan plug is faulty and it needs replacement. But as per your problem which you mentioned its the clear problem of blower motor resistor and replacing the resistor will solve your problem.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Where is bank 2 sensor 2 on a 2002 Sebring lxi 3.0 two dr coupe ?

This should be the O2 sensor on the passenger side, after the converter. Its job is to report to the ECU on exhaust after passing through the converter, so has no effect on the way the car runs, but just reports on how the converter is doing its job.

I need a diagram to put on a serpintine belt for a Chrystler Seebring LXI 2 door Coupe

There should be a diagram somewhere under hood. If not, check shop manual (might be able to just look at one a parts store if you feel it is too expensive to buy).

2002 chrysler sebring blower motor is loud but works

Sounds like debris in the blower assy. Probably leaves, or my favorite - kids\' candy wrapper. Start with the thinnest extension you can find for your vacuum. Make sure the engine is off, blower off, key off. Squeeze it down through the vent nearest the blower motor. Wiggle it around to get as far into the blower assembly as possible. You may have to pull leaves out with the hose, they\'re too big to suck up.

Air does not blow

The car normally blows air through the blower however the controls and settings of the speed of the blower are controlled by the blower motor resistor. The resistor controls the speed of the blower fan. If your blower still works on the highest setting then the blower itself is still in working order. If you are not getting any air at all, even on the highest setting, then chances are the blower has gone bad, blown fuse or open wire. If this does not help please give us more information to work with.

Interior fan hasn't worked properly for some time, would only work on fan's highest setting. Now we've got no air at all, regardless of setting.

Blower motor RESISTER has went bad. Its behind the blower motor; small hands are a definite plus for changing it.

Why would my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee only blow luke-warm to cold air when the fan is on high? First the heat went on the highest setting, so i used the second highest. Then it started to coll as...

Sounds like you need a blower motor resistor located down under dash on pass side next to blower motor. This is a comon problem and I have changed many of them. thats just the fan speed problem. Ive seen the blend doors break easily on those jeeps. thats inside the heaer core box and moves the flap from hot air to cold air. If it is stuck halfway -or mostly to cold- you may only get luke warm air. If they had the heater core out-maybe they possibly broke it.

The blower for the ac/heat only works on the highest setting. The 1,2,&3 settings don't work.

Sounds like the blower motor resister is bad, it regulates the speeds of the blower motor, it should be located somewear around the blower motor, 2 screws hold it in the heater box and it has a electrical plug to it.
