Hi i have a 1997 honda acccord lx with a vtec engine i got the check engine light and scanned, recieved dtc code p1259 vtec system failure the symptoms are it driving normal until it reaches 3,500 rpm

If this is a 1997 LX Accord, it did not come with the VTEC, that was only on the EX version in 1997. So someone put an EX VTEC engine in your LX. I've seen this done, and it requires a EX pcm computer. It also needs VTEC wiring to be installed. Check the engine serial # and ID what this engine is from.
If this is actually an EX Accord, then there are more things that can fail than the solenoid. The pressure switch is a common failure.

My 99 Honda accord v6 dies suddenly either when im driving or when im stopped. it will take anywhere from 15 seconds to ten min to start back up-- and then either runs fine or dies again within a few min....

have your fuel pump checked it could be overheating, I had the same problem before and the fuel pump sat behind the back wheel , when it died I would take a wet rag and cool it down then it would start up again until it got hot , I replaced it and I have had no problems since

Why wont my 94 accord 4 cyl start when its warm out?

A common problem with no-start Honda cars is the fuel pump relay under the dash.
I would check that first. Could also be a faulty coil.

Main relay was problem with my 91 civic. Not a problem since replacing. Seems they tend to get hot.

No spark when the engine is warm

I had the exact problem on my 1991 civic. Apparently, hondas around that time-frame has a main relay that overheats. Therefore, needs to cool down.Once main relay was replaced about a month ago, never a problem again.

My 98 Honda Accord Vtec 4cyl. eng is starting fine, but after start the idle dips a few times and regains for approx. 3min. If I drive without warming up the car will hesitate and the gas pedal will delay...

Seems like the coolant temperature sensor is giving the computer erroneous readings, and it is not adjusting the fuel mixture properly for cold engine operations. You should have the check engine light on, indicating this malfunction. The idle fluctuations are normal. The engine is trying to die, from the improper cold mixture, and the computer (ECM), recognizing low idle speed, is sending it back up. Another possibilty is that the butterfly on the throttle body is not closing completely, to allow richer mixture needed for cold starts.

Depending on the model of accord. It may be a VTEC malfunction in the computer. If it's an EX it is a VTEC
