Question about 1996 GMC Jimmy
The tensioner is spring loaded .. you can use a box wrench or somtimes a ratchet wrench (into a square hole) to pull against the spring in the tensioner such that the belt is easily installed .. a lot easier if you have three hands but doable if you only have two .. there may be a locking bolt on the tensioner .. you may have to loosen that ..
