Question about 1999 Dodge Ram

1 Answer

The other day my rear driver side tire lost its tread and it tore up my wheel well pritty bad. Now my left blinker and break light wont work. The tail lights and reverse light work fine but I have tried everything, including by passing the plug going to the light because I thought it may have been hit and messed up, but nothing. I checked all fuses and there fine, what am I missing.

Keep getting uneven wear on rear tire for 2004 lincoln ls

if the wear is on the inside of the tread ---wheel bearings , failed suspension bush, arm
if it is on the outside of the tire tread ,-- bent lower control arm
if it is patchy around the tire ---failed shocky
it is appears as if the tread is feathered towards one side of the tread--- wheel alignment
Tack it to an accredited suspension specialist shop for a proper examination and a rear wheel alignment

Why is my front driver side tire wobble when i hit a bump

First, have the tire inspected before you do any expressway driving. you could have a damaged tire with a tread or internal ply separation. second, inspect the front shock absorbers, it sounds like the left front shock has failed and lost its hydraulic fluid. third have the front steering linkage and front suspension checked for worn or loose tie rods, idler arm, ball joints and stabilizer bar links. do this ASAP as you don't want to have the tire fail or any parts break while you are driving!

Vibration from rear drivers side tire when accelerating slowly, as in lightly pressing in the gas and not revving the engine. Only occurs around 44 mph never more never less. Any ideas? 2003 Kia Sedona...

Could be abnormal tread wear. Also, wheel could be unbalanced or may have lost a balance weight. Another possibility is that the wheel is bent.

Humming noise from driver rear wheel on 09 camry

Check wheel bearings. Properly jack up the car one side at a time with blocks set in front of and behind the front wheels with the car in Park. Do not set the parking brake as this will prevent the rear wheels from being spun while off the ground. Safety consideration--- Do not get any body parts between the wheel and finder or under the car in case it slips off the jack---- After one rear wheel is slightly off the ground begin to spin it and listen for rough / dry/ popping noises or break pad drag. See if the noise gets louder when you spin it faster or one direction versus the other. Check for loose bearing by trying to wiggle the tire side to side and top to bottom. Pay attention to tire wear. If you find nothing in the wheel itself, the tire might be the problem if the tread is worn oddly. You can change that tire's position with another wheel and see if the noise changes to the tire's new location. Repeat by checking the other side.

Front driver side wheel shakes wile driving 60 mph and or lower

Sounds like the tire is starting to delaminate. How old are the tires? If you take the wheel off the car, you may be able to see a bulge in the tread. What is happening is the thread is starting to come loose from the steel belts underneath. It can happen to any tire with age. It's a serious problem: eventually the tread will separate completely, while you're driving, and throw the tread all over the place, most likely damaging your car. It could even cause you to lose control, or it could hit someone else, whatever. Gotta replace it, and soon.

If it's just the one wheel, not a shimmy in the whole car, I'd say the tire is going bad. It could also be a loose/worn out balljoint: with the front wheel(s) off the ground, try to move/shake each wheel. If there is any 'slop' in the wheel, you have a bad balljoint. Which requires professional repair, if only for a new alignment once the work is done.

Good Luck!
