I don't think anyone makes a metal part for this application,
But, you could look on Ebay maybe.

Good luck to you.

It's called the door latch. You can't buy parts for it. You can buy the whole mechanism though. Or get one at a junkyard. A spring or small pin has broken inside of it. I tried to many times to find parts for the inside of these things. No luck.

98 accord door handle broke door will not open

A non electric door, (which?) wont open, lock works ok, handle wont open the door.
What can I do to fix it.
well telling the door to us would help, and options.
so no electric locks,
there are 2 levers. one inside and one outside.
so you pull the door card (inside door covering)
and look at both locks , the inside pull, its it working?
then look at the key lock cylinder. is it connected still
and last are both connected to the latch mechanism.
one can cycle this latch lever inside the door shell.
if that fails the latch is busted.
all this is covered in the FSM ,why not read it.? (under body)
free , too.

What are you working on? Ford made a number of different types of door latches over the years. Include some info on you specific vehicle in your post.

I have a 02 s 10 with a stuck bottom 3rd door latch. I took my seat balts loose removed the door panel, also removed the plastic latch yoy use to open door, the top latch was alredy opened and I put a needle nose vise grip on the lever going to the bottom I used to much and broke the little plastic retaing piece that holds the lever.I looked inside door with light saw my latch was in open pos and took pry bar to pry botton door from inside, once opened i used a 10 mm 1/4 in drive to take out 4 bolt's to latch.removed latch placed in vice and heated with burnsomatic torch, the latch is coated with a plastic so i burned it all off with vice grip on the lever to open and pliers the work the part that catches door striker I kept working it until it freed up then put antu seige on put back in truck. I recomend buying a new latch and put anti seize on it. that's my plan but at least it's working for now. or get a good used one from a junk yard. you can e mail me at earltoni@hotmail.com for ant Q's

My rear driver side door won't stay latched. If I get a latch from the junk yard for a 1995 Deville will a fleetwood door latch work? Also for the window motor on the driver side front door will they...

Have a close look at the door latch and see if it is in the lock position. If it is, pull the door handle like your going to open the door and place a screw driver or a pen in the latch and pull it open and then try to close the door and see if the latch holds the door close. The chances are good since most GM products are interchange able, the salvage Yard should answer that for you and can tell you better short cuts then any body on how to replace parts. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted. Be glad to help.

3rd door on ford f150 will not open

There was something in the paper, maybe a recall on the latch for the 3rd door. There is a clip inside the door that keeps the lockrod in place. You might want to call the dealer about it. I am not sure you can remove the inside panel without having the door open.

Need detailed diagram of 1998 latch mechanism to remove connections from it

there is no diagram... the latch is also a non-servicable latch, so if your problems in the latch- it needs a latch. i would look more closely at the outside door handle itself as i have seen a few of them break on the E series vans.you may be able to get detailed instructions thru autozone.com or @ autozone. hope this helps and good luck
