Just a guess but usually you can reset those just by removing the power. Disconnect the battery for an hour or overnight if need be.

That's how an ex neighbor of mine, a repo man (or thief, I'm still not sure as he did this drunk at 3am), did it. Fun to wake

89 T-BIRD WONT START, TURNS OVER, THEFT LIGHT BLINKING, OWNER LOST KEYS, HAD NEW KEY CUT STILL WONT RUN

I would go after the door lock first. Older fords have a switch on the door lock that disables the alarm. They tend to break and fall though. I have replaced them with a momentary on/ff switch. But the alarm would go off when opening the door. On some older ones(85,87)(no keypad) I could disconnect the security module and it did just fine.

I have a 1989 thunderbird and need to know, where is the reset when you change the oil.

If you have to change the oil change reminder light back to green, look for a small hole on the face of the panel near the light. Turn the key in the ignition but don't start the car. Insert the end of a straightened paper clip in the hole and push firmly until light starts to blink and turns green. When it turns green you're good to go! Hope this helps.
