Your going to have to replace the window regulator, once the cable come's off it will happen again, save yourself time and replace it, I know every one is short on money, but that's the only solution to fix it.

My sunroof on a 2006 Hyundai Azera won't close all the way. Tried to crank it shut but it seems to be stuck slightly open.

Sounds like the track needs lubrication. Check the track for obstructions like accumulation of leaves or other materials that would prevent it from closing completely

Rear window not working 2006 bmw325i

try to close or open the window from the main switch. If it works then you have the rear door window button. If it still not working either from main, then you have to check the window regulator in the rear door.

Electric window wont stay up

It sounds like you may have a bad switch. It could possibly be removed, cleaned and reassembled/ reinstalled and work fine, otherwise it will have to be replaced.

2006 scion xb driver window wont close

Hi Jim, Sounds as if the window motor is becoming weak. This can be due to dust having built up in the rails or a defective motor. Open the door and remove the screws affixed just below the arm rest. Very gently lever up the power window controls, unplug them and remove. Unscrew the door release handle and un clip and then remove it.Take a flat tool (sneak into the kitchen and take a flat pastry knife, you'll need to keep that a secret as those in the kitchen sometimes complain like hell) With your new tool insert it at the bottom of the panel and gently release the clips holding the door panel to the door. Once removed put it aside. At the bottom of the window there are bolts which hold the window to the rail. With the window in a position where access is possible, remove those and the carefully slide the window to fully closed and place the broken broom handle you have been hit with when the theft from the kitchen was discovered, to hold up the window. You can use anything else suitable too! Remove the bolts holding the motor assembly to the door. Next make very sure your fingers and hands are not anywhere they can be trapped by the mechanism. Plug back the switch and operate it until it can be removed from the door. Un plug the switch and the motor. Clean the rails with a suitable cleaning agent, but nothing liquid! Carefully lower the window making sure to keep it in the rails and clean the upper part of the rails. Now you need to decide if you are going to replace the motor or maybe give yourself a double job by re installing it and having the same thing happen again. If you have the time try it but if not get a replacement. The assembly is opposite to removal. Don't forget to feed the harness for the switches through before fixing the panel back. Hope you get fed this evening. Regards John .

Gas door won't open

FIRST: try using the gas release lever from inside the car with the driver side door closed. My 2006 Jetta gas release lever would only work if the driver door were shut and I pulled the release from the inside car interior. Turns out it was a severed door wire (NOT THE RELEASE CABLE). Thus when the door was open, it stretched the damaged wire and so none of the door controls worked unless the door was closed. ie windows, trunk release, and gas release. It was a $600 repair at the dealership, parts and labor! :(

For 3 weeks, the driver window on my low mileage (19,244 mi) garage kept '99 Grand Marq LS stopped working & had no motor sound when I pushed the down switch. Suddenly today it started working. What...

Sometimes the glass will stick to the rubber weatherstripping when the windows are not used for a long time. We have that problem on our 2005 Town & Country, between air conditioning in summer and heating in winter, we rarely use the windows. Try to make a habit of dropping all the windows slightly (an inch or two is enough, just to move the glass) each time you get in the car, or at least once a week. Sometimes just opening and closing the door a few times jars the window enough to break it loose.

If that does not fix it, you may have a bad switch or motor.

Passenger window won't work using the driver side control switch

Open the window with the local button and keep the button pressed for 3 seconds after it has fully opened. Then close the window and keep the button pressed for 3 seconds after it has fully closed. This calibrates the position of the window which it lost when you changed the battery. Good luck

Rear hach

The latch is "closed" but not hooked right.

You can tug the door/window "really hard" and it will open.
After it is unstuck and open, then "unlock" it with the remote... check the "hook/loop" .. it is probably loose. adjust it and tighten it.

It should work ok now.

Hope this helps!
