Dim, intermittent, and dead clock displays are very common problems with the 4runner (and many other clocks of this era). The clock is failing internally. I offer a repair service check out www.autoclockrepair.com let me know if I can assist.

The clocks in these older 4Runners are notorious for giving an intermittent or dead display. The clock can be easily removed and inexpensively repaired at www.subaru-clock.com. If you need tips on removal of the clock, he can help with that, too.

It's not the fuse, they either work or don't.

Cig. lighter fuse toyota 1997 4runner location

The fuse diagram should be o the cover of the fuse box.
Some versions of the 4Runner don't identify a cig fuse but usually it is included under the interior lights fuse. try that. If you are missing your cover or the diagram is unreadable, try google images with "1997 4runner fuse diagram" typed in.

I'm looking for the indash clock wire connection for my 2000 Toyota 4Runner. I would prefer a photo. I was working on my aftermarket radio CD player and reinstalled it. The clock was working before that.

There is 1 fuse for the clock: If your audio system is working then that fuse is OK (instrument panel 18 15 amp fuse). Check it out just to be safe, you never know. If the fuse is OK then the clock itself has gone bad. I've heard of this happening after radio installs, no idea why. Anyway, I have clock removal instructions at www.autoclockrepair.com. I also offer a very affordable repair service with a lifetime guarantee.
