These are bad about those Cable operated window devices .. If it is bad get on ebay and get one ordered its your best bet.. Just take a flat screwdriver and go around the bottom of the door panel and pop it loose and up the sides .. there might be a hidden screw or two in the middle around the handles.. good luck ..

SOURCE: I have 2001 Pontiac Bonneville My heat works but

Your passenger side temperature door actuator is bad. You can access the actuator by removing the glove box & hush panel. The actuator is on the side of the HVAC box. If you can gain access to the actuator watch the center of the actuator as you change the temp on the control head, if the actuator does not move it is bad, if it does, the door inside the HVAC box is bad. Most likely its the actuator. If you remove the actuator & open it up you will most likely find the large center plastic gear is cracked all the way through. It is held in place by 2 or 3 7/32 screws. Once you replace it, disconnect your battery wait 30 seconds and reconnect it to reset the HVAC control head so it can relearn your actuator positions. It can take up to 5 minutes for the control head to go through it's relearn procedure. You can try resetting the actuator first , but make sure your radio is turned off before you disconnect the battery and if your luck, the actuator may not have any broken parts and the gears may just need to be freed up and lubed. Good luck friend and hope this helps.

How do you remove a blent door actuater from 2001 pontiac bonnevile

I never heard about a need to "reset" or replace a blend door.

If a/c, you probably need some Freon recharge. My 2005 Bonneville had this problem with the a/c. I looked at the blend doors for hours, before getting a clue about the low Freon. You'll probably need to go to the dealer or an a/c specialist to have it checked. It may ony need 1/2 a can of Freon to fix.

Where can I get detailed instructions of replacing the driver side view mirror on 2001 Pontiac Bonneville. The mirror and assembly was broken off backing out of the garage. I will probably go to the junk...

Hello,

I wouldn't take it to dealer as its a very simple task to do yourself. In order to get the mirror out you must take the door panel off first as the wire from the mirror runs into the center of the door.

To get the door panel off, simply remove the window switch by taking a flat head screw driver and slipping it under the edge closer to you; you'll find a metal clip as you lift up and pull out. Disconnect the switch, then use the screwdriver to pry the door panel off. There will be about 7 clips holding the thing on there on the edges of the door panel. Don't be afraid of busting the clips, but do be careful not to damage the panel.

My suggestion is to practice on the door panel of the Bonneville at the junk yard.

Anyways back to the mirror. Once you have the panel off, pry the little panel covering the base of the mirror off and you'll find 3 nuts or bolts, usually 10mm or 12mm. Remove them and the broken mirror will come off.

Reverse steps to get everything back together again

Where do you start to remove rear door panel on a 2001 pontiac bonneville?

You should first look at the underside of the arm rest...this needs to be removed before the panel...usually 2 phillips head screws...then gently pry the panel on the bottom...GM uses several push in plastic clips to hold the door panels in place...if yuou damage any of these...they are available at most parts stores in the "help section"...Hope this works for you:)

Remove driver's-side mirror on 2003 Pontiac Bonneville

Remove the small triangle panel in the corner of the window, one clip. then to remove all of the door panel you can pry starting at the bottom and work to the sides. once all push clips are off. (they really sound bad when they come loose, but that is normal.) push the panel up to remove the last two holders behind the door handle. You will have to remove these later with a needle nose pliers and slide them back on the door panel before you reinstall. remove elect from block and remove the Three screws holding the mirror. they are 10MM I think. and the mirror will practicly fall our. Or just hit something with it like my wife does and they come off pritty easy.
