some times it might be that it just needs to be sanded down or there is too much break dust. so just spray it down with a power wash and if it doesn't work try to sand down the roaters. but be carefull.

I replaced my factory HID bulbs with aftermarket ones, I removed the air box cleaner the get full access to the bulb and for the passenger side I did remove the battery. Removing these items makes it a whole lot easier.

Look directly behind the headlight box if there is a rubber sleave covering the plug take it off. Unplug the wires from the bulb, there may be a saftey clip you will have to pry up to get it off.after you get the plug off the bulb holder should twist counterclockwise then it will pull right off. When you change the bulb just remember to wipe your body oil off the bulb before attaching it back into the headlight box. Then plug it back in and your in business. The high beam has three wires and the low beam has two wires. The bulb will have to be the right one.
God Bless You Greg

This link shows the location of the SCV, If your motor is different the location should be similiar. http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/5687/vacuumdiagramuh3.jpg
There's a vaccuum line that runs off the SCV to the SCV check switch.
P0442: Have you inspected the lines, charcoal cannister etc? Make sure the fuel cap is tight. The easiest way to check the system is to have someone perform a smoke test. I had a DTC on my car which indicated a EVAP problem, it turned out to be the Fuel tank evaporator Control Solenoid.

YES IT IS Under the lower intake manifold... the entire manifold must be removed which is a 2.5hr job... and you will see it on the engine block itself
