In the distributor usually, under the rotor. it's the electronic box that connects to the wires via harness

There is no ignition module. The ignition coils are controlled directly by the Powertrain control module (computer) located inside the vehicle above the drivers left foot and connected to the engine wiring harness thru the firewall

timing issue by the sounds of it double check timing chain and sprocket positions then maker sure you haven't set the timing 180 degrees out, it an easy mistake

Ive changed coil pack,crankshaft sensor, couold it be ignition control module


TFI module located : bolted to the bottom of the distributor when the TFI module gets hot it will cause the car to shut off and it won't start until the part cools off or until the part does not work anymore. Part cost about $25 - $40.
