Well, you could have a head gasket leaking into the cylinder.

There must be a leak somewhere.

Also, the system may need to be flushed.

Also, check to see if the water pump has been changed with an opposite impeller.

This happened to me once on a car that had the wrong water pump installed.

Good luck on this one.

Replace spark plugs and look at coils. Sounds like a misfire at idle. Car is trying to keep idle high enough with 1 or 2 cylinders misfiring. Car compensates then revs up as the cylinders catch and run again. These cars often have bad coils. Scan car and look for codes 301 through 306. Replace all plugs and if misfire comes back then replace the coils on the cylinders that occasionally misfire. Look at boots and spring wires on coils and replace coils that have bad boots.

Have you checked your fuel pump relay? This is located in the engine bay, front left, near the air-intake. Is grouped with a 2-3 other relays, seperate from fuse box.

My BMW 2004 325ci dome light keeps coming on randomly. My driver's side door is hard to open. Could this be a switch or related problem?

If the " strike plate" is not adjusted properly then the light switch will not " seat" properly.
I would say it is related, check these both and please let me know what you find.

Red oil light comes on intermittantly as does the

Assuming these readings are false, I have asimilar problem in my 540 which tells me allt the exterior bulbs are not working. The bulb sensor is faulty so I think you are safe in your assumption although the oil light showing would scare me, false or not. I suggest you get a service agent to cast his/her eyes over that one.

Change out radio now it won't start. both radio's are after marke

check all your fuses to make sure you didnt burn out the main one.
it sounds like the car has an aftermarket alarm or the bmw immobilizer alarm. see if there are any relays that are not original mounted under the driver's knee plate and connect to the heavy gauge red wire which goes to the starter relay soleniod.

BMW 318i wont start engine

I would have the battery tested. When they get cold they get weak. Next I would look at the wires on the starter to see if their loose.
