Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
My 1996 grand cherokee is not starting good. the power is on and off. when it starts the engine is fine but after a few minutes the engine stops. all the necessary replacement been done from spark plugs, ignition coil, wires, rotor and distributor cap including fuel filter. is there a pssibility that this is a computer box problem?
X2 on the CPS. They aren't too hard or expensive to replace. However, it also sounds like it might be the fuel pump/regulator (one piece design on the 1996 Grand Cherokee) assembly acting up.

Need to try the crank shaft position senor. It work off the turning of the crank. It the sensor goes bad then the engine has no idea what position the crank is in, so therefore you won't get it to start. I had to replace a few of these on Jeeps , this is a big problem for Jeeps.
