Question about 1994 Suzuki Samurai
It could be an ignition problem, as in cap, rotor, wires, or plugs, but what you describe sounds like it is in the carb, as in a plugged passage. Does it start to act funny as soon as the throttle is moved off of idle? Usually spark related issues have more to do with missing under load, but a bad cap and rotor can definitely fool you. Look at the cap and rotor, check the wire resistance, and inspect the plugs. Also check for vacuum leaks on engine.
However first thing you need to determine is if you are missing fuel or spark. Take a vacuum line off the intake manifold and spray a good healthy shot of carburetor cleaner inside the intake manifold. Put the vacuum line back on and try to start the engine. If it starts and runs until the carburetor cleaner is gone, you have a fuel problem. If it doesn't, you have an ignition problem.
If it does start, you will need to do a fuel pressure test since the most likely problem would be a bad fuel pump.
Next thing would be to check for codes and see what they have to say. I think it is the ASD Relay, but you need to check it to be sure.
