Please check on the fuse corresponding to the accessories marked as radio/accs.,in the box. Use a good nose plier to pull this out and replace if burned out.. if the fuse is ok then you will have to check for one in the set. or a circuit failure in the set. Helpful? Good day

It is usually the accessories fuse under the bonnet or under the dash ,but the radio may also have its own line fuse in the power wire that goes into the radio, you may have to pull the radio out to get at it....hope this helps....cheers

1997 Buick park avenue, stereo stopped working but still says the time how an i make it work

The clock is on a seperate electrical circult from the power for the stereo itself. So the clock can work and the stereo could be bad. Get out your owners manual and check the fuses for the stereo first. If the fuses are good check for power to the fuses with a test light.

Good fuse no stereo power

There is another fuse, probably inline near the stereo. There may also be two positive wires. look in the fuse panel and make sure all fuses are good, if that doesnt help, get an ohms meter and check for power at the rear of the stereo.

My son's 1997 Honda Accord has an aftermarket stereo that works but his cigarette lighter doesn't. Could it be a fuse?

The thing is, whoever hooked up the stereo would know for sure where the connected into in order to get power to the stereo. If they went off somewhere ealse other than what the factory made to be the power for the stereo it would make sense. In the accord for your year the power to the stereo and the cigarette lighter is the same fuse if it was hooked to the same wiring that came with the vehicle. They may have by accident disconnected the lighter and it's just not hooked up at all. You can check the fuse for the cigarette lighter if you would like. that fuse is in the fuse panel located in the engine compartment and will be in the number 18 position and sould be a 15 amp fuse ( see diagram of the layout of fuses below). If that fuse is bad and corrects the problem then they hooked up to another power source when they hooked up the stereo. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Stereo system shut off!! is it fuse?

you haven't mentioned if that is an aftermarket stereo or a factory one. generally if it is a fuse your cigarette lighter won't work (they often use the same fuse). check the fuse with a multimeter. if it's fine you may have to pull out the stereo and make sure the wires have not come off.

There is no power going to the stereo. The fuses are intact and all the other electrical works.

have you removed stereo from dash? check fuse in rear of stereo. Make sure you have got the stereos sequrity number before removing stereo if its the genuine system fitted to vehicle if not stereo wont work until code entered.

Stereo doesn't work after battery changed

it does sound like a fuse problem. make sure the fuse you replaced did not blow again. the radio will have two fuses for it , one ignition fuse to make it work and a permanaent supply fuse to keep the memory when you turn the car off. i would check all the fuses, even tho they look good they could still be blown. best way to check them is to turn the ignition on and with a 12 volt tester go across both sides of the fuse, the tester should work across both sides, if it only works one side it heas blown. just a thought in regards to the battery change make sure all the cables have been put on correctly, none left or on wrong side. hope this helps.

Interior stereo light

Take a Flashlight and hold it Behind the Fuses to make them Easier to See. This way you can check them all and Replace the Bad Ones. If it is not a Fuse, The Backlighting on the Stereo is Probably out and there is no way to fix this once they stop Working aside of Buying a New Head Unit or Aftermarket Stereo.
