A wire is disconnected in the engine area of my car. Can i see a schematic picture of the engine area to enable connect the disconnected wire?

fuses blow because the current flow is in excess of the fuse rating and that is normally from a dead short in the circuit after the fuse
I suspect that the ac compressor rely is faulty and I would start looking in that area

Tachometer connection


you can search your particular vehicle schematic or find it in a chiltons or haynes book look for the engine schematic and the wire will be connected to your #1 coil + wire on separate coils if you have coil packs for 3-4 plugs each there should be 3 wires 2+ones 1-return find the + associated with the #1plug

Replace starter motor in daihatsu pyzar


1997 Daihatsu Pyzar starter motor located bottom of engine bay at the back between engine and framework below front window of car



Its in a real nasty place

(see picture)



Very tight space and to remove both starter motor bolts, you need to access it from above engine and below engine


- Disconnect battery connections from battery first

- Disconnect wire from starter motor

- Remove starter motor bolts

- Remove starter motor via top of engine (lots of jiggling involved due to wires in the way etc)

We changed spark plugs and spark plug wires and afterward the check engine light vame on and will not go off. What do we do next?


Most likely a wire was disconnected when changing the plugs and wires. Check all around the area you had your hands on for a loose connection

I changed my spark plug wires and possibly have them connected wrong. Is there a schematic that I might follow in order to ensure they are connected correctly?


FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. Need schematics for 1982 Ford with 351 engine . (hot rodding a 51 ford, and need to know engine wiring for ignition of a 82 351 cleveland) to get spark) It's got a distributor, and a 2 and 4 wire connector...


I worked at the library and you can go to the Reference section ( those books can't be checked out) but you can copy what you need, they have old repair manual that are extremely detailed at the professional level, pictures of schematics, complete brake down on repairs much better than you can find in any book today that you buy at the local auto parts store. if one library does not have them then go to the next library in your area.

GENERATOR OUTPUT LINE VOLTAGE DROP TEST

This test determines the condition of the wiring from the generator "B" terminal to the battery (+) terminal (including the fusible link). 1. Be sure to check the following before testing: a. Generator installation and wiring connections b. Generator drive belt tension c. Fusible link d. Abnormal noises from the generator while the engine is running. 2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 4. Disconnect the generator output wire from the generator "B" terminal. Connect a DC test ammeter with a range of 0-100A in series between the "B" terminal and the disconnected output wire. (Connect the (+) lead of the ammeter to the "B" terminal. Connect the (-) lead of the ammeter to the disconnected output wire.) An inductive-type ammeter which enables measurements to be taken without disconnecting the generator output wire is recommended. Using this equipment will lessen the possibility of a voltage drop caused by a loose "B" terminal connection. 5. Connect a digital-type voltmeter between the generator "B" terminal and the battery (+) terminal. (Connect the (+) lead of the voltmeter to the "B" terminal. Connect the (-) lead of the voltmeter to the battery (+) cable.) 6. Reconnect the negative battery cable. 7. Connect a tachometer or the scan tool. 8. Start the engine. 9. With the engine running at approx. 2500 rpm, turn the headlights and other lights on and off to adjust the generator load on the ammeter slightly above 30A. Limit: max. 0.3V When the generator output is high and the value displayed on the ammeter does not decrease to 30A, set the value to 40A. Read the value displayed on the voltmeter. In this case the limit becomes max. 0.4V. 10. If the value displayed on the voltmeter is still above the limit, a fault in the generator output wire may exist. Check the wiring between the generator "B" terminal and the battery (+) terminal (including fusible link). If a terminal is not sufficiently tight or if the harness has become discolored due to overheating, repair, then test again. 11. After the test, run the engine at idle. 12. Turn off all lights and turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 13. Disconnect the tachometer or the scan tool. 14. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 15. Disconnect the ammeter and voltmeter. 16. Connect the generator output wire to the generator "B" terminal. 17. Connect the negative battery cable.
