Lets see if we can narrow this down a bit.

1. Check the relay in the fuse center under the hood. I would swap it out with the a/c relay and see if they come on.

2. A faulty temperature sensor will cause this also. if you know what the sensor looks like you can test it with a paper clip. It will be located neat the thermostat and is only a 2 wire plug. If you use the paper clip as a jumper and the fans come on, the temp sensor is to blame.

3. Check to make sure the temp gauge in the car works first.

These are the most common reasons electric fans don't work so give this a try and report back to me with your findings.

Hope this helps.

Your fans do not need to run all the time. They should only run when your engine gets over its normal running temperature and in most cases your cooling system will keep a good temperature without the fans.

The radiator fan should come on at 220 degrees. You could bypass the fan relay to power the fan while you are driving until you can get the actual problem fixed.

Cooling fans arent working

the first thing to do is to replace the fan switch/switches on the radiator, make sure that you get the exact part. they all look the same but they switch on different temperatures

My 1999 Chevy Malibu is losing the coolant though the overflow hose by the resevior I've had my head gaskets replaced there is no overheating no water oil mix, but my radiator fans arent working I

Sounds like you need to disconnect the Radiators' electric fans and have them tested. You absolutely must have them working, or your car will overheat. Check to see if the Temperature guage is working.

You need to go to a good autoparts store and have them test the fans and charge and test your battery. You may need some sensors to activate the Radiator fans, but you could be running the battery down with shorted cooling fans.

There are also Relays which work with the Radiator fans. The overflow will stabilize once the water gets into where it belongs. Make sure your Thermostat is not clogged with the sealer.

My electric cooling fans arent working, or appear not to be working. my radiator was boiling a few days ago, does this sound like a problem?

yes it does, check the relays to the fans, and also the fuses, they should be in the under the hood fuse box, once you determine that the fans work ( turn on the ac and see if it starts it should ) you can move that relay to the normal fan relay spot, ( if you have 2 fans ) if your car still over heats after knowing the fans are working,, check the thermostat

Automatic transmission does'nt work when its hot

hi,
get yourself a haynes or chilton service manual for it and study it then remove the tranny pan, inner filter and change the trans fluid in the tranny. It takes a day. make sure the tranny cooler lines that go to the radiator arent kinked or clogged up either. you will need a new tranny gasket and 4 quarts/(check that amount not 100% sure about 4). check radiator fan operation, I think the radiator fan is ran by engine coolant so your thermostat might be half stuck shut also, possibly try a new or colder thermostat. if none of those ideas get it it will probably have to go in and be looked at but those are the cheaper alternatives.
good luck

Could be several possibilities.  Make sure the radiator fans are working.  Check radiator fluid.  Check thermostat.  Could be head gasket, any white smoke from exhaust?
