You will need a code reader if you're doing your own mechanics, it's inexpensive and it will save you hours of testing. disconnect battery for 5 minutes to reset computer and try again. i doubt that it will fix the problem but it free and it might solve it. your computer is getting a wrong signal by one or more sensors, probably speed sensor, and transmitting it to the transmission.
