It is most likely near,or on the dryer,I believe it is under the air cleaner box,but it will be on a large ac line, and your charge hose will only fit it,If this was a t all helpful, please rate, thank you.

How much oil does air condition system on 2001 cavalier hold

If you're putting oil in your air conditioning system, you should probably get the entire system replaced. A/C needs freeon/refrigerant. Do yourself a favour and get a mechanic friend or even an actual mechanic to do this for you.

The port in the larger of the 2 AC lines from the compressor is the port you charge at.

How to add refrigerant to air conditioning system

determine the type of refrigerant, conversion kits are available but not an easy job, most parts stores have refrigerant and connectors to add to your system, follow the directions on the can.

Freeon

R134 a is the proper refrigerant for your vehicle. It will be filled through the low pressure port on the a/c system. The low pressure port is always the smaller of the two fittings that is on the larger of the two lines. You should be able to find a sticker for the a/c system that tells you how much the system holds. Do not go over this amount.

No cold air coming out of air condition just hot air

Check you ac belt under the hood is not slipping. Check that your ac clutch is engaging.
Check your freeon level.
It is possible you may have a freeon leak. The mechanics will use a dye to determine if you have a leak and where it is. The leak will be repaired and new freeon put in.

Where do we put freeon for the air conditionner

There are only 2 fittings on your ac system. The low side is the one you put in refrigerant (r134a). It is the smaller sized fitting usually located on low side hose that connects to receiver dryer (looks like a can on passenger side firewall). The quick connect fitting on any recharge hose will only fit on this correct fitting. The other one (high side) is too large to fit. So you cant put it in the wrong one.
