Hi my name is Tom and I am here to help.

Have you had a tune up lately? From what you said, there is no spark at the plugs. I would go from there and "back track". Do you have a spark at the distributor? If not then look at the coil, all the time checking wire connections. Are the battery posts clean. Does the car turn over?

If you could give me more info and answer the questions, I could be of further help. I trust this info might lead you to investigate the problem further.

Is it out of gas? Try spraying starting fluid into the throttle body and see if it starts then. If so, you have a fuel delivery problem. If not, you have an electrical problem (no spark).

The power is on and off so starting is hard

Need to try the crank shaft position senor. It work off the turning of the crank. It the sensor goes bad then the engine has no idea what position the crank is in, so therefore you won't get it to start. I had to replace a few of these on Jeeps , this is a big problem for Jeeps.

Jeep grand cherokee computer problems (will not

there are specific tests you can run before changing parts...You should show an open circuit with no resistance between b&c connector pins on the crank sensor. (check with ohmeter) You also need to check that you have fuel /spark and test related items. (cps can kill both)
