There is gas in the intake manifold of my 99 Silverado LS 1500 5.3?

Sounds like a stuck open injector to me. I think most if not all of those codes are ghosts caused by the computer trying to make sense of all that fuel. Plug the injectors in and bump the key and see if one is spurting fuel. Have a fire extinguisher ready, and aim the injectors into a bucket if you can.

My 1999 chevy silverado starts and dies within two seconds. has anyone had this experience before and how did you fix it?

does it have a b2960 security code set, i bet it does, it probably has a security problem and is going into fuel shut off, try replacing the ignition switch harness, this is 98% of the time the problem

1999 chevy silverado ran out of gas

After you have the battery charged, you may want to check the fuel pump relay and see if the pump is getting power.
Its possible the pump is cooked from not having gas in the tank.
The liquid gas cools and lubes the electric pump.

1999 chevy silverado pick up 4.3 engine turns over good wont start. it was low on gas so i put some in it

If you haven't replaced the fuel pump yet, start saving up. A '99's pump will usually need to be replaced after 8-10 years. Believe it or not, Amazon.com has the best price! Look up the part number at Rockauto.com then search Amazon for it.

I have a 1999 chevy silverado with 5.3 v8 po171 & 174 and po420 in that order at times the truck seems to loap when at idel any ideas where to start?

Thes code 171 nad 174 are bank 1 and bank 2 system to lean(02 sensors). these are probably causing the 420 catalist efficency below threshold. The first place to start is all the vacuum lines. check for vacuum leaks. when you get the first two codes 99% of the time it is a vacuum leak. 1% is the mass air flow meter/sensor. And I don't believe you have one on your truck. to old. Also you have to check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold. use WD40 , spray around the manifold gasket areas if the engine runs better you found a leak.

I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck. When you first crank it and give it the gas it acts like it don't won't to go. After it warms up it runs like a charm.

First you dont ever "give gas" to a fuel injected engine. Its all automatic! This is either wornout distributor cap and rotor or your fuel pump is on its was out. Could be either or BOTH.

Chevy wont start

sounds like seprate issues check for fuel pressure, and spark. the code refers to a poss bad o2 sensor wich would be a seprate issue since o2sensors typically wont keep it from starting, just use alot of gas. good luck

Chevy truck running rough 150,000 miles

Find out why the engine light is coming on, it is the info u probably need to fix the running rough problem. Most auto parts stores will read the codes stored in your trucks computer for free, write them down, and ask what they mean and how to correct the problem. If u need more info, return to this site w/ codes for further help.
