Jump start = you connect the plugs on your battery to the corresponding plugs on another battery using a pair of thick cables then start the engine. Once the engine is on just remove the cables and the alternator will recharge your battery..

Put the positive and positive, then without shorting out the leads, or touching bumper to bumper, connect the negative of one car, and then finally connect the remaining alligator clip to the frame of the car which is the ground.

c85a2fd9-af0e-4d08-89b4-66fb0b469e10.jpgThe motor home battery I couldn't teel you but if you're talking about the vattery for yhe charger, it's located in the Passenger side inside the trunk. There is a cover over it that has to be removed to get access to it. If jumping, there are posts next to the battery I believe designed just forr jumping. I would REALLY suggest just charging the motor home batteries or using a different vehicle to use. Have found on your kind of vehicle that sometimes when getting jumped or visa versa That it causes an electrical problem. there is a fuse link in the wiring directly (sort of) from the battery to the alternator. Have seen this fuse link blown a lot and MANY people change the alternator thinking the alt. is bad beause the battery goes dead not to mention the car letting you know thta there is a charging problem.Hope this helps.....

We had the battery tested because the car was dead and you could jump start it but it was dead if you didn't. The battery was checked and they said it was fine. We had the alternator checked and it was bad...

Have the altenator checked again. These can be bad right out of the box, Ive seen this on more than one occasion. Simply start the car and use a meter to check the voltage at the battery you should be seeing 14 volt if the altenator is working and 12 or less if it is not. You can also turn all the lights and heater and anything else electrical on to see if the car will run or how dim the headlights get when this is teseting. The headlights should stay bright if the altenator is doing its job. I also believ the battery may be weak and maybe needs a good check of the water and letting it charge over night to help restore it. It may have gone bad from all the jump starting and subsequent draining, this takes a big toll on a battery.
If this was useful a vote of the thumbs up for the free advice would be appreciated and if you have more questions feel free to ask. Thanks

Ive got a lexus gs300 with a flat battry ive conected jump leads to a van left it running for 5mins the lexus is trying to turn over but will not start

When a battery goes completely dead. it needs replaced. you can jump it but you will have to leave the jumpers on for about 30 minutes to get the battery to hold enough charge to start. revvingthe other engine doesn't help, it only puts out so much voltage.

My 1997 Volvo 850 always needs to have a jump start in the morning. I havent changed the sparks plugs in years, could this be the problem?

Sounds like a battery problem. Make sure that all your lights are off inside the car. Check your visor light too. Ive seen broken visors that wont turn the bulb off when shut and drain the battery over night.

Get your battery tested also to make sure it can hold the cranking amps needed for starting.

2004 land rover discovery, ignition clicking noise, panel lighted, engine not turn over, only clicking

it sounds like your starter motor is faulty. first make sure the battery is fully charged, then place a screwdriver between the contacts of the solenoid on the starter motor, if it again just clicks, then you need to repair or replace the starter motor.
hope this helps
