i believe that your trunk is unlocked and to prevent damage the system locks it self, check the trunk.
lock it with your key then try it out.
that happened on a audi cabriolet and we locked up the trunk and problem solved. let me know if that helps, if not i will try something else

NEED YOUR EMAIL TO SEND SOME IMAGES.
HERE ARE THE STEPS TO FOLLOW.
REPLACING LEFT AND RIGHT GAS STRUTS FOR SOFT TOP COMPARTMENT COVER :

  • Remove soft top compartment cover.
  • Lift soft top out of soft top compartment.
  • Lift gas strut out downwards, insert in available bore and lower the linkages.
  • Remove tab washer, raise gas strut upwards and lift out.

change the pcv valve its under the intake manifold

the button is located on the center console. you need to hold it down for 5 seconds or so while it disengages the locks on the wind screen.

i find fuse number 7 a 5 amp fuse in the underhood fuse box also check fuse 42, 43, 49.
