Depending on make, model ,& year the proportioning valve is most likely at fault if you can not bleed the rear brakes.

No mention of what you own is made here

The dash gauges that don't work can be a host of different problems since I do not know the make, model, & year as well

High end cars have BCM's which control the dash.
If your car is 6 years old or newer it will have a bcm init that can be at fault

Check the fuses as well for that part is the easiest for anyone to look at

Check all connections to the cluster and make sure they have a good connection. Any one wire that can be loose will affect the operations of these gauges. Also is the fuse snug? If not give the fuses tabs a slight twist to have a secure fit. Your problem should get fixed this way pertaining to this model

Why is my brake warning light stay on?

There is enough of a brake fluid leak to move the valve that turns on the light. Solve the fluid leak first then bleed the brakes to reposition the brake warning valve so the light goes off. It's best to have a brake shop do the work.

Changed brake fluuid and now the brake warning light above the park brake light will not go out Have tried to disc battery to reset and did not work

You have probably tripped the switch in the proportioning valve. Did you bleed the rear brakes first and then the front? If not, try bleeding the front brakes again to see if that will reset the valve. If that doesn't work, please get back to me with specifics on your car--model and year.

1999 Chevy Tahoe- Soft Brake Pedal

Try having the dealer flush and bleed your system. It is very hard to bleed ABS systems yourself and have safe brakes that still work afterward. Bleeding non-ABS brakes yourself is easy not the same for ABS brakes. Valving, sensors and what-not require a tech and the correct equipment in my opinion. You do it wrong and you could ruin your ABS system. Do that and see if they firm up. I replaced my brake shoes/pads at the same time all new everything in back, drums/springs everything and new rotors up front. then I had the chevy dealer flush, refill and bleed system. Stiffer pedal and brakes work better. Keep in mind the brakes on 99 Tahoes are inaedequate, require new rotors often, heat up and fade/glaze pads regularly. I replace my pads long before they wear down because they glaze up and start fading early. I'll rough em up once maybe, next time, new ones. Every two brake jobs, new rotors for me. Just how it is. They will stiffen a bit and work better but they will never be awesome brakes. Just how it is on 99 and earlier Tahoes. Hope it helps. Very important to bleed correctly though. I'll bleed my 83 Toyota 4x4 myself but not the Tahoe.

Brake light on dash stays lite. What does this

There is a pressure sensing switch on the master cylinder that will turn on this indicator light on the dash if there is enough of a pressure difference between the front brakes vs the rear brakes. It would be a good idea to check brake system for leaks and fluid level.
Sometimes it's just a matter of readusting the switch by having someone hold pressure on the brake pedal while you slightly bleed either the front or back brake line at the master cylinder. Be sure you are confident you are knowledgeable to handle this... you don't want braking problems afterward... Good luck and be careful.

The brake light on the dash stays on i have replaced the rear brake shoes wheel cylinders and drums master cylinder front pads caliper and rotor on my 1988 gmc 1500 pick up the light will not go out

There is a level switch in the master cylinder if the fluid level is low it will turn on the light and If you pressure or vacuum bleed the brakes you will center the proporting valve switch that warns of low brake pressure in either Front or rear.
Vacuum bleeding I have found to work the best.
Make sure the Park brake lever is all the way released. If you find this informationn helpful please leave me a favorable rating and by all means contact me if I can be of any further help.
