The oil is specifically designed for the supercharger and tends to only be available through a gm dealership.It runs between 9-15 dollars per bottle and you need 2 bottles.The supercharger takes about 6oz.

Cut off light comes on at 60mph oil pressure drop 38 39

If the oil pressure is otherwise normal except when you are running at higher speeds i suspect the relief valve on the oil pump is sticking in the open or partially open position at constant higher engine speeds.

You will need to have the oil pressure on the engine properly tested by a professional and the cause of the low oil pressure diagnosed. If you drive the car on low oil pressure you will cause very expensive internal engine damage many multiple times the cost of fixing the current problem.

Insufficient engine oil changes for the type of vehicle use (a practice which most owners follow because they usually do the absolute minimum thinking they will save money) causes sludge build up in the engine and these kinds of issues that you have now. Most owners are even too lazy to routinely and frequently check under bonnet fluid levels between services - engine oil level, coolant level, power steering fluid level etc.

Car won't start & leaking lots of some kind of fluid

The computer stopped the car to prevent you driving it and destroying the engine. So you will not be able to restart it until the problem is fixed.

Have you checked any of the following:
== engine oil level
== radiator coolant level
== if its an auto trans, the auto transmission fluid level.

Drop a white tissue into the fluid the car is dropping. Is it watery or oily and what colour is it.

Can u grease bearings 99 granprix turbo?

Well, lets see....there is no "Grand Prix Turbo" so I am assuming that you mean that your Grand Prix is a 3.8L that is equipped with a supercharger.

The supercharger bearings are lubricated with synthetic oil that is contained in the supercharger gousing. It is self-contained and does not rely on engine oil for lubrication. You can check the oil level in the supercharger by removing the plug in the supercharger housing (see diagram)

Check oil level light comes on ,but the level is good

what kind of car, year, make model.

If the oil level is correct measuring with the dipstick then it most likely is just the oil sensor, on newer vehicles they've been known to be over sensitive but have also been known to let an engine run dry and never show an alert.

As long as you change the oil and the level is in the "safe" area on the dipstick then you have no worries.

1996 Honda Accord EX Manual trans. Where is oil level plug. what kind of oil?

Hi there,

All Honda manual transaxles use the Honda Manual Transmission Fluid (MTF) as the original factory fill. This oil is similar to a 10W-30 or 10W-40 viscosity engine oil, and this oil can be substituted temporarily. However, the manufacturer recommends the use of their MTF when changing the fluid.

Level Check

The transaxle fluid should be changed every 90,000 miles (144,000 km) or 6 years under normal driving conditions. In severe driving conditions the fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles (48,000 km) or every 2 years, whichever occurs first.
Make sure the vehicle is on a level surface. If the vehicle is raised, make sure the vehicle is safely supported and level

NOTE: Do not confuse the drain plug with the fill plug.
The fill plug is in the mid section of the transaxle. The drain plug is near the bottom of the transaxle.
  1. The oil level is checked by removing the oil fill plug on the side of the transaxle. The transaxle fluid should just meet the lower threads of the transaxle fill hole.
  2. Remove the oil level check bolt from the side of the transaxle. If oil runs out, or if oil can be felt near the threaded fill hole opening, reinstall and retighten the bolt to 33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).
  3. If the level needs to be topped off, pour oil in slowly until it begins to run out then, install and tighten the filler bolt to 33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).

Yes it can be low, check it and refill it using the proper oil. GM 12345982 ......the oil level plug is near the base of the snout. oil level should be a bottom of plug threads, right side, as you are looking at the SC from the right front wheel. No, you cant by pass it.

If this is a 3800, Upper Intake Plenum or Lower intake gaskets are an inevitability. Head gaskets on these engines rarely go out! Seriously, don't get duped. I am doing the job on my grand prix right now. Google it for further explanation.
