Hi my name is Tome and I am here to help.

There is smoke coming from your muffler because there is a hole in it. You should notice a louder muffler noise. If you would like, I can help you with replacing it. It can be very easy or very difficult depending how much rust on on the exhaust pipes.

I trust this was of help. If I can be off further help let me know.

suspect failed head gasket, so check your oil for water droplets and a white mayonnaise-like deposit on the inside of the filler cap.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

If there's a black smoke coming out of the muffler then have the o2 sensor replaced. The air fuel ratio has irregularities and by replacing the o2 sensor the problem can be resolved.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

2004 Dodge Ram Backfiring and blowing Muffler

White smoke....Means a Blown Head gasket.. Now its not bad enough to stop the vehicle from running but its bad enough, to blow out white smoke..now sooner or later it will stop completly, but you dont want to warp the cylinder heads too bad, then you will have to replace them also, so you might want to fix this problem as soon as possible...and the muffler keeps going bad, becasue it is filling up with coolant/ or too much water, which it is not designed to do..You also maybe doing damage to your cat. converters also...so be careful....And Goodluck, and keep me posted...
