If you have a rotor / Distributor and not a coil pack you can remove the Distributor cap and crank the motor. If the the rotor doesn't turn your timing belt/chain has broken. In some cases this can happen if the computer is locked in safety mode. Try resetting the computer by disconnecting the Negative battery terminal for 60 sec then reconnect.

There is no close to start ,something is missing spark or fuel pressure . If it died on the freeway the fuel pump quit working or something in the ignition system did . The engine spins when you turn the key to the start position ? Crank - no start No Start Diagnostic Basics EricTheCarGuy

Engine died while driving on the freeway, now only cranks but wont turn over/

As with any no start problem, have you checked for spark at the plugs and normal fuel pressure at the injectors ?
Does it crank with normal compression ?

Died on freeway just lost power and wont start also over heating

What car? What happened as to oil/water thrown out? When was it last serviced? How many miles has it done?
My guess is the head gasket has gone. This would give most or your symptoms. Get good DIY help or a garage.

I have a 2005 Mazda 6. If I take my car on the freeway for more than 15-20 miles with out stopping it will start to **** and feel like its going to die.i have to press the gas a little harder to make it...

It sounds like a vac problem with the engine or the brake booster. The brakes should be vac assist and that vacuum comes from the engine.
If it were something with the ABS system you should have a warning light on the dash. Nothing in the transmission would affect the brakes.

Starter turns, won't start, overheated

You possibly have antifreeze in your engine where it dont belong, like the exhaust manifold if it was coming out of your exhaust. One reason it wont start is that either the head gasket went out and anitfreeze is leaking in that way or the manifold gasket is out and its getting in the combustion chambers to the pistons.

Fuel injector fuse is blown, keeps blowing. Engine turns but won't catch and start.

if the injector fuse is blown then the car won`t start as its not getting fuel into the motor to fire.if the fuse keeps blowing then you could have an injector/s that is drawing too much or the injector driver in the ecm may not be any good and needs replacing or a used ecm.it could be a short some where in the wiring for the injector system that is going to ground.

Car dies on freeway.Never overheated!!! What could it be.I'm guessing the fuel pump

Hopefully you don"t need gas first in the tank. While driving did your motor seem to ruff suddenly and as you went slower to a stop did you pull over and turn car off? When you turned it on again did it start up really ruff without giving gas.Can be that you need a fuel injector replaced you can not clean it because it also works electronic.Toyota runs better on higher octane period.

I don't know what is wrong with my car the belt just recently broke and we had to replace it but before we did that the battery died when we were driving and we killed the battery trying to get the car...

sounds like it may be a bad alternator. jump start the car and if it gets going disconnect the negative battery cable and if it dies you have a bad alternator. It may die as soon as you unplug the jump start cables.
