The car bucks like it isn't getting a good gas flow. Could it be a restricted fuel filter, dirty injectors, or just bad gas?

If it bucks it likely ignition. Could be a bad plug wire or coil.

Hard to start fuel pump has been checked

Need much more information about the car, age, care it has had. Only 4 things cause hard start. Lack of Air coming into the intake, Lack of Fuel, Lack of spark, Lack of torque from the starter. Assuming the starter is good & battery, and fuel is there, i would check the spark plugs, and spark output. If it has a lot of miles check the Air Filter. The injectors could also be clogged. I always dump 2 bottles of injector cleaner in the tank every 2 months. If you have never done this i would go for 3 bottles. Again the spark cannot be weak, fuel pressure cannot be low, or have restrictions like dirty a fuel filter, or dirty fuel injectors or even bad Gas. And last a computer problem providing incorrect timing to the Injectors or Spark Plugs.

Car idles fine in park or neutral, but won't accelerate smooth, replaced the fuel pump $337. but that was not the problem. gas consumption is up/ used to get 24 mpg, now 20mpg. Also replaced the fuel...

What's the mileage of your car? Your fuel injectors could be dirty. The cause of that is putting bad gas in your car. Like no name gas stations with cheap gas. Go to a machine shop in your area and ask if they have an injector flow testing machine. Having them cleaned will probably get rid of the problem. Since you've already replaced everything fuel related I wouldn't doubt that it's clogged injectors being restricted when you start needing more fuel in the cylinders.

My 1996 nissan is runing rough

I always check the simple things first, and it has served me well. It could be clogged injectors, put a bottle or two of injector cleaner in your (full) gas tank. Could also be dirty air filter, or combination of the two. Check fuel filter too, I've seen those do a lot of weird things when they get clogged to the point of restricting fuel flow. Good luck

As i put my foot on the acc, in all 5 gears, sometimes it judgers like a kangaroo, like its running out of gas

OK number of possibilities here- Im gonna give you the most common ones-

a dirty fuel filter can cause vehicle sputter by blocking the flow of gas from the pump to the engine

a dirty air filter restricts air flow causeing the MAF (mass airflow censor) to report abnormal readings to the ecm (computer) causing the ecm to adjust fuel mix improperly resulting in stutter

bad plugs, wires, or coil - if the engine cant achieve proper spark it will hesitate.

Sounds like you need a tune up- Id check your fuel filter first and go from there, buy plugs before you buy wires, and wires before you buy coils-

dirt clogged in line replace gas filter to see if nothing else causing such as fuel pump damage injectors dirty an so on try fuel filter first before going further

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter, what you have described is low fuel pressure due to restricted fuel flow from a dirty fuel filter.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

Turns over but wont start

OK three essentials for a running motor......

1. Fuel - Check to ensure you have gas up to the engine. Check fuel filter, fuel pump and fuel injectors.
2. Spark - Make sure your system has electrical current to fire the plugs. Check your wires to the coil(s) the plug wires, cap & rotor and spark plugs and gaps.
3. Air - Check to make sure any air flow sensors are connected, most cars wont run with the MAF (Mass air flow) sensor disabled. Check your air filter to make sure its not dirty. if it is it can restrict air flow and cause your motor to flood its self out instead of allowing the gas to ignite, hope you found my answer helpful!

Vehicle died while driving down the road, will turn over but not start or remain running. Lights all work fine, gas shows a quarter tank

There may be a good chance that the fuel filter has reached the end of it's life and needs to be replaced. The fuel filter should be replaced every 15,000 miles or once a year to ensure that it does not get to dirty and restrict the fuel flow to the fuel injectors. Start with this simple thing to do which is the common cause of engine stalling. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to answer any more questions you may have. Auto Zone will have the fuel filter and the step by step instructions for you to replace the fuel filter.

Cannot get 1987 chevy van 20 to keep running... stalls out

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.

1999 Ford Taurus mechanical problem

Hello,
your problem appears to be the idle control motor located on the air intake manifold it is a small motor that goes bad quite often. Other items that can cause this is a bad /clogged air filter or a tune up (spark plugs and wires), or clogged fuel injectors. to clean the injectors you can buy a container of fuel system cleaner and pour it into the gas tank and as you drive it cleans the system.

Once the fuel system is cleaned via a tankful of cleaner & gas then the idle controller motor would be next on the list to be replaced.

Good Luck !
