2008 frontier air compressor clicks but does not turn on

have an accredited ac specialist shop do a pressure test on the system as it may be a low pressure switch not activating the ac compressor clutch

Compressor clicks on and off but is full of freon 2000 nissan frontier

Could be a faulty ac clutch or a faulty low pressure switch.
You would need to check voltage in the clutch circuit to see if it is constant.

What is the a/c pressure for a 2002 nessen frountier?

A/C pressure depends on the climate. In my area (the north east) a fully charged system in good shape will read about 25-30lbs on the low side and 130-160 on the high side.

I want to recharge my AC unit. Not sure where the refrigerant is supposed to go

You connect your refill can or system to the low pressure line. Here is the good news. The fitting on the refill kit will only fit the low pressure line connector. They appear as over sized Air fitting. Both High and Low pressure sides will have plastic caps on them but your coupling will only connect to the low pressure side.

Recharged ac now when i turn it on u can hear the ac sytem try to kick on then stops

It probably is over charged. Hook up a manifold gauge set & check the low & high side pressure when it tries to come on. Low should be 34-40 & high should be no more than 150 psi.

Go to the parts store and buy (for about $10) a mechanics stethescope.  It will have a metal piece you can carefully (MAKE SURE YOU DON"T PUT IN THE PATH OF A MOVING BELT OR FAN) put on the top of the A/C compressor, other end in your ears, and with a helper turning the A/C on and OFF,  you should be able to determine if the sound is coming from the A/C compressor clutch.  If so, replace the compress clutch or compressor.  Form the limited info I have, it sounds like the clutch is bad or on the way out.
If the A/C works (blows cooler than the ambient air), it's unlikely there is any problem with valves in high or low pressure side being in wrong position (especially if no one has been monkeying with them ;~) )
