Clean your air filter, clean or replace your cap and rotor, basic tune up stuff should help you. that 6 cylinder is reveared by ford guys like my self as being bullet proof, hard to kill, but you gotta keep them tuned up, if you have alot of miles on it, over 200000 which is very common for that engine to achieve then tuning is important for longevity

You should be seeing a check engine light--go to Autozone or similar business that allows free use of their computer scanner to look for any stored codes. Look particularly for plugged exhaust/catalytic converter problems. The O2 sensor may be nearing it's useful operating life. Depend on these codes to guide you. Good luck!

My 1990 ford taurus keeps dying

The FIRST thing you need to do is STOP REPLACING PARTS until you can properly diagnose the vehicle and PROVE what is causing the engine to stall and not start. This should be done by testing the systems involved - NOT by replacing parts to see if it works....

When it stalls, what is missing? Does it have spark at the spark plugs? Does it have fuel pressure? Does it have injector pulse? Have you scanned the computer for fault codes? If you have, what codes did you get? These questions should all be answered LONG before any parts should be replaced.

could just need a tune up,you could also pull of the distributor cap and look for oil intrusion, if there is you will need to replace the distributor

1990 Ford Probe 2.2 automatic stalls in forward, reverse OK

Sounds like a bad IAC (idle air control valve/sensor) that controls your idle when going from throttle to idle. If bad your idle will act crazy and can cause stalls easily. Pretty sure that's it.

2000 ford explorer 4.0 x-engine is stalling, missing and lose power while driving

I personally would check the fuel pressure. Then I would go back to the coil. I have seen brand new bad coils out of the box. The symptoms of a loss of power point to this component, especially if the car idles well, but loses power when accelerating. Please do not rate this reply - we all are left to grasp at straws since you have changed pretty much everything. Good Luck. Please post the final fix of the problem.
