My 2000 linclon ls 6 cly cranks but sounds terriable just started doing it

I hope it's not the timing chain tensioner,Chris. I know the 2000 V8 engines had bad tensioners.
Could it be a loose starter or the starter drive is hanging up in the flywheel teeth?
Could it be a really bad DRIVE BELT TENSIONER or the idler pulley gone bad?
It's just difficult to say,but I hope it's not the TIMING CHAIN TENSIONERS. Lot of miles on it? don-ohio (:^)

How remove the cylinder head of motor from a lincoln navigator 1998 without moving the timing chain

Impossible. This is a dual cam engine. There is a camshaft in each cylinder head. The head cannot be removed without removing the timing chain.

Is a 2000 nissan 2.4 twin cam with a timing chain a interference engine?

There is no reference to it being an interference engine. However it is always advisable to treat all motors as interference motors when setting the timing as that way there will be no bent valves
Always position no 1 piston on TDC compression stroke before working on the chains
That way all timing marks will be aligned or close to alignment when refitting the chain.

P0305 misfire in cylinder 5

take the main pulley off and the harmonic balencer off and re-time the marks on the timing chain to make sure that your timing marks are perfecto if that doesn't help then re-time your distributor with the distributor gun if that doesn't help replace the spark plug and wire in cylinder 5 and if that doesn't work then you are probably gonna have to take the motor apart and replace the rods or bearings or valves

Where are the timing marks on a 2000 gmc jimmy to put it at top dead center

Is this a 4.3 V6 or ? You will have to get some carb cleaner and a rag and wipe the grease off of the timing mark plate on the timing chain cover of the front of the engine next to your harmonic balance.
