Question about 1999 Oldsmobile 88

1 Answer

My 1999 88 LS has a vibrating sound when driving from 35-55 miles per hour and is loudest when going 50 miles per hour. I had the tires replaced and the car rebalanced but the car still makes a vibrating sound when driving 35-55 miles per hour. any ideas on what could be wrong?

Vibrating at speeds of 50 miles per hour and higher, and a heavy vibrating sound. When stopped the front passenger tire is much hotter than the drivers side.

for your own safty and that of those who ride it, get it to some repair facility that has a lift-because it is only a 2008, it might be under warranty, and it might be as simple as a badly balanced tire (threw a weight?). A frozen or hanging caliper, bad wheel bearing, or a tire that is badly under inflated might also be the cause-just get it checked out.

When excelerate to 70 mph my steering wheel vibrates. What should I do?

This is very common. It can either be your tires need to be balanced. Or your car needs to be aligned at an alignment center. One or the other should stop the vibration.
