While pump might be a thing to check....There are other places as well, I had this EXACT problem with my 99 grand prix, Radiator wasnt leaking, or anything was showing or leaking water or antifreeze. The PROBLEM? Water was entering into the head chamber. SOLUTION? Replacing the gasket. Even tho the water was leaking into the head chamber or what ever you call that place, I didnt have any smoke coming out the back, like many told me I should see. Mechanics charge around 350.00 to fix, you can do it for less.

You state you checked the top hose, did you check the bottom hose as well? Also, there is the possibility it could be leaking at the water pump.

HEATER ISN'T BLOWING HOT AIR

Sounds like a restricted heater core. Remove the hoses and back-flush the heater core system with a water hose. You may want to do a complete cooling system flush while you're at it.

If you can't flush the heater core clean with a water hose, it may be time to replace.

02 chevy malibu pushes antifreeze out of resivour but dosent get hot any thoughts?

If it doesn't over heat it's very possible that there is just too much coolant, so if it's leaking from the overflow there is no problem as that's what it's designed to do

Is it difficult to change the antifreeze in a 2005 Ford Escape V6? Do you need to change any hoses in the process?

Most places can flush out you system for you. But you can do it your self. and only way you need to change hoses if they are cracked and leaking. you can go to you local auto part store and ask how to do it the safe way cus i may do it the wrong way. also pick up the antifreeze you will need while your asking.lol i just stick a house in the radiator and take the return house off the radiator and let it flush that way and when i think its all flushed i slow it down and put in the antifreeze and when i start to see green i stop every thing and put the hose back on. but the car needs to be running the whole time to cycle it through the whole motor. but you may need to ask the right way to do it.lol not the redneck way i do it.

Radiator problems

it may be a little off, but the lower water hose seldom gets very hot,, as its this hose that suplyes the engine with ""cold water"" the hot water comes out the top hose,, drains down the rad and cools on the way down then enters the engine through the bottom hose """if your engine stayes running in the normal place on the gage,,,and not over heating""" why are you spending money for nothing???""
you wont get the bottom hose to run hot unless the engine is cooking

I have antifreeze leaking from the back radiator hose on my 2003 kia sorento

There is a hose on the upper rear of the engine block.I think its a heater hose. Anyhow, its has a "Y" shaped plastic adapter that is known to leak on sorentos. Buy the part and pay a shop to change it. I spent 2 hours tring to get to itwith no luck. I took it to a shop and it took them 5 hours and 3 technicians to change it out. Good luck.

Check your RADIATOR. it probably has a leak or crack or both..Well, i guess if its leaking it must have a crack. This is most probable to your problem affecting the air cold to hot vice versa.
