Hi this sounds like you are not getting fuel or getting too much to that side, if all coils are ok, then the only other thing it can be is fuel, have to taken the plugs out and had a look at them to see if they are wet with fuel?, there are a few things to find out what is up, obviously fuel, is there any getting through the injectors?, compression, test the pot compressions, see if either the head gasket is ok and also the valves on that side are ok to, check fuel lines to that side, see if you are getting fuel up to or before the injection system, there is a few things to start on...good luck happy 4th to you

If you simply unplug the coils, the fuel injectors will keep spitting fuel. If you unplug the injectors next, then the ECM will freak out, set the CEL with a laundry list of codes, and maybe put you in 'limp home', which will burn more fuel than all 8 running. Get the voltage checked at each coil and cylinder separately one by one.On all cylinders the voltage should be same.If any of the one shows over voltage or low then its coil needs to be checked. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Where is the coil pack for cylinder 5 located at for a 2002 lincoln ls

Hi, welcome to FixYa.com my name is Shawn and I will be answering your question.

They have an individual coil for every plug on this engine. Do you have a check engine light on if so if you retrieve the code it should be a P030X misfire code the X being a number between 1 and 8 identifying the cylinder that is misfiring. #1 being the passenger side front - #4 passenger rear #5 driver front #8 driver rear. They go in order 1-4 passenger side 5-8 driver side. If this is a 6 cylinder then coil 1 would be the passenger side front coil 3 would be the passenger side rear. Coil 4 would be the Driver side front and 6 would be the driver side rear. The coils are located under the center cover on the valve coves.

I hope my assistance helped you and resolved your concern, if you need further assistance please ask.
