There were two common problems that could be causing this problem. The first most like likely culprit would be the crankshaft position sensor. If the mileage is getting up there, you may need a fuel pump. I would recommend having a shop change the crank sensor as it is pretty difficult to get at, you have to remove the crank pulley.

Hope this helps,
Dave

Have the servo kit of the car checked. It might need replacement.

Could be such a multitude of things.Good news is for that problem 90% chance it is very minor but usually not cheap(small sensors cost a lot). You have to take it to an auto parts store for a FREE diagnostic check. Takes 5 min. and will tell you what sensor,ECU etc... is bad and would cause your particular problem.Spend your $ ONLY on what is causing your actual problem and if another part checks out bad but is causing no problem do not waste your $ on replacing it.BE WISE BEWARE and use common sense.

My 1999 taurus started but died about 5 min later, while all gas, abs, battery lights were on ,it also back fired and died, now it is just spurding & not starting ?

That is a question with a VERY wide range of possibilities. The FIRST thing you should do is to scan your Powertrain Control Module(PCM) to check for any fault codes, then DIAGNOSE accordingly.

Car runs for 5 mins ,stalls, sometimes starts and sometime stalls

try checking the coil igniter, if this is faulty and it gets hot it will really make your car die but when its cold it will make your car run again.
